So I'm a level 464 warrior, and here is my problem.
My base dexterity is 61 currently sitting at 16(Thanks horrible artisans), and my strength is 200, so I'm like that guy that skipped leg day.
After I finish mastering close combat, what talent should i choose next, should i continue buffing strength as far as i can go, or should I start compensating with some dexterity?
Cheers

I don't think you are really done with warrior if your strength is 200, I would finish a skillset completely before moving on to another one. If you are human you could try archer, then move into puppet

I don't think he's necessarily done with close combat, he's just theoretically speaking. xP
Mmm, I think with all that strength, you should move on to Lance Combat to continue building up that strength. Otherwise, it really depends on where you see yourself in the future.

Agreed. (But really, it's up to you how you choose to play this game. XD)

Like imagine 95 said, you shouldn't move onto another class before getting fairly close to finishing one.
That being said, you shouldn't rank other things until you get the Master Executioner title. And even after gettting the title, you're not done, I've seen people who lag behind 100 str behind me with that title. Only other things I'd rank during that phase is refining, production mastery, mining, range and arrow revolver (last two offers utility, dex, and str).
After completing what I mentioned, I'd go on to do life skills and get sniper title. Then puppets or bard.

Personally I would suggest moving onto magic to get more variety in your skillset, but that's just me, I like playing a jack-of-all-trades as it fits how I play games normally.

Ah you all got me wrong, I'm not planning on leaving warrior for a while, not until I get all R1 skills and master title.
Yes I am thinking about going lance purely because I know that they outclass warriors in nearly every way, but I also need a ranged skill like archery or gunslinger. I cant get up and close with everything now can I?

Definitely archery. I wouldn't recommend gunslinger, because the chance is, you probably don't have enough int to do gun damage.
Archery also gives you a little strength, and probably more utility that you'll need, as well as dex for more balance, and easier follow up to puppets.
Although to be honest, after puppets, I do use archery less now, but I can say it is still extremely useful.

I've put some effort into bard before I realised that I was not doing enough damage in warrior so it's half done, would the Intelligence increase from the bard skills be enough for gunslinger?

Even with r1 composing and r1 musical knowledge, there won't be a significant boost in your gunslinger damage. Most people I know have finished mage before going gunner.

Pretty much. I have all the bolts/healing done and musical knowledge and composing, and I still haven't touched gunner. I'm mainly melee too.

That's how giants did it for the longest time. Being "versatile" is overrated.
"But what if I come across an enemy that's immune to melee?!"
You'll never come across those if you play your cards right and grind the most efficient missions that give the most money and exp for your time. So, you don't
HAVE to move onto any form of range if you don't want to.

But he's not a giant. At his stats, moving on to range would probably be the most beneficial after melee.
But like you said, that's his choice. I'm just stating what would probably the best in my eyes in terms of character progression. Looking at how he put it, he clearly wants utility, which range offers, as well as other useful stats.

Looks like it's ranged it is, I find magic extremely boring to play so it looks like gunslinger is out of the question for now.
I have another question and this is better than starting another thread, what life skills are essential for strength?
I know that carpentry, mining/blacksmithing offer the most but what else?

Blacksmithing =/= str gain
Carpentry, Mining, Rare Mineralogy, and rF-rE of rest are the most AP efficient ways of gaining str.
