So finally after months of searching, I finally landed a part-time job. Did not expect that they would call back.
Being a music student is one thing, working at a music school is another. Damn, this must be a yet another dream come true thing.
Then I realised that one of the guys I met today was a mini-celebrity, at least locally. So I was like "what omg" about 10 mins ago for not realising until way past meeting them. But they didn't say about it too. Seems that they were humble about their success and I appreciate that.
Anyway, I am excited as it is going to be a really new experience for me, though I wonder when this euphoria is going to run out. The job sounds mundane once I get used to the routine but I guess I can do some reading in between.
The last time I felt like this was when I had a pretty awesome working environment, and was really fated to be there. Was years ago but that chapter has ended. Wondering how this will turn out to be does make me nervous. Hope it turns out to be good in the long run.

Thanks. Mostly administrative work.
Pay is standard for hourly pay for most part-time work over here. I think it's good enough for me until I graduate.
Unfortunately, not teacher standard yet. But they know that I'm still learning and might be willing to give opportunities. But I need to get the important stuff down first, like getting the job done.

5 to 6 per hour, approx 4 to 5 usd in conversion. How's it like for pay over there?
Not so soon, have at least 3 years to go.

Different states have different minimal wages. I think in my state its $7.25, but there are some states that have a minimum wage of $8 or more. I think $4-$5 is a good pay for a part-time job, though.
Anyway, I'm happy for you and I hope everything goes well.

I would look past the 4-5 dollars per hour since it's part-time.
Also, a plus if you enjoy your job. Usually enjoying your job would put you past most set wages/salaries.

This ended up to be yet another blessing in disguise!
I had an earlier job offer, which I eventually declined the interview for because of my current job. It ended up to be a MLM scheme, and users on a forum wrote about negative experiences dating back to year 2008.
I am really glad I did not join. That someone who offered me that MLM opportunity was dodging my question for the actual name of the company when I first spoke to that person. He did say what sort of positions the company wants but he did not go into specifics. (Too general.) Secondly, when I said I did not have enough time, he said they don't mind having people with tight schedules (seriously what? no filter for who joins the company. 40% suspect is MLM by then) In short, this person was not honest and you can tell that he (and that company) has a lack of genuine interest for the person he is going to hire.
MLM (Multi-level Marketing) is not necessarily negative but I am seriously not interested in it because of the questionable ethics most shady companies use to sell the products. They use relationship to sell products and because many people do not do it right, it hurts their ties with others in the long run.
I have less time playing Mabinogi now with this new job but I am not complaining. Now looking at some mobile broadband plan to see if I can bring gaming or Mabination forums along on the go. (Currently in school but school's internet not very stable on the whole, but it is being decent today)
