I think the op is asking people their points of view on the races. So mine are:
Elves: For archery magnum spam and double arrows on normal ranged attack is good. Also I like the running speed which is good for magic/alchemy.
Human: For archery faster loading ranged skill and arrow revolver. Melee is more effective than elf, can dual wield swords and use lances. Best puppetry.
Giant: Don't have archery. Best melee/fighter/gunner/knight damage. Can charge wo a shield. Can use a lance with a shield (lance + alchemy).
Before the last updates I thought elves and humans are somewhat equal and giants were left a bit behind. Because both humans and elves can use melee and archery. Even though elf melee damage is not that good and they cannot dual wield and can't use lances, they can still use melee skills while on the other hand giants don't even have any archery skills.
But now since giants can use lances with alchemy, I think they are very good. Because most end-game players say that lances are the way to go for melee due to their piercing damage and now they have all-round alchemy support too. So for end game giants have the upper hand now imo. They are also the best for early game too due to easiness/effectiveness of ranking windmill.
It has always been either human or elf for me though due to elf running speed and human having all the skill sets.
I agree with this, giants are really good with melee, and I noticed my giant's windmill is way easier to rank than my elf and humans at the same rank. That and because they have way higher survivability at low levels(even with rF of every skill but WM), making it even easier to rank.
I had been curious about the guard cylinder with giants myself, if it could be used with lances, so now that they can, that really sounds good. xD
For humans, I can't really stand archery, but that's because I'm spoiled from my elf. Honestly I can only see myself using archery for rafting and Baol, and only if I don't have thunder by the time I have finished ranking my basic combat skills.
