When I try to start up the game I get a notice stating that my graphics card installed on my computer does not ensure proper execution of the mabinogi client. Well, I can run a lot of high quality games. And I know my card hasn't gone bad. Its updated and everything. Is there something I can do to fix this problem without having to go out, buy a new graphics card that fits Mabinogi standards, install said card, blah blah..

Are you using HDMI? I'm not totally sure but when I used HDMI mabinogi picked up Intel however when I switched over to DVI it picked up my GTX. I doubt it really makes that much of a difference. Most of the lag in mabi is due to Client Lag (not your computer but the client itself can't handle) or Connection lag.

It's not even a problem. I run Mabi fine and it pops up every time I start the game, and I just got a brand new card.
It's something with the engine. It's not going to do anything gameplay wise.

But it does. It affects everything. Half of everything doesn't load and when I try to go into more populated areas where there is more actions taking place, nothing loads. Eventually everything freezes. I researched a bit and since I am on Windows 8.1 some people say it might be an issue with the driver. But since I am not very technical with computers I am not able to understand tech speak very well. I'm on a laptop and I believe by hdmi and dvi you are referring to cables? I'm sorry I'm not able to communicate the problem as well as I should for someone asking for help.

Can I get your laptop info? Model Number (not serial, MODEL) and Manufacture? It's easier to pull up all the information on the laptop before going to far into things and yes HDMI and DVI are cords but are for desktop.

That totally depends on the graphics card it's running. If you have that runs mabi perfectly fine then it doesn't matter whether your using a integrated intel or a GTX 780 however if your using a integrated intel which isn't capable it will make a difference.

I am also on a laptop and I also have a intel hd 4000 graphics. I also have a gt750m and I am able to play BF4 on decent settings. I am getting the same errors you are but there is no fix that I have found. I have found that it does use some of the graohics cards power because when I unplug my laptop in raids (thus turning off my graphics card) my frames go below 30.

They didn't say in their OP that they were actually
experiencing problems, only that the little warning popped up. That's the only reason why I said any of that -- sometimes it pops up when everything is actually 100% fine.

Mabinogi has an issue where it can get butthurt if you use an integrated graphics card, you can ignore it.
and iirc, HD 4000 was an integrated one.

Is that with CTRL+N and CTRL+P to reduce text? Raids particularly tend to cause lag not just fps lag but client lag. Even running with a good graphics card the mabinogi client itself lags not the graphics.

believe me, i experienced some lag with my client too when i walked into really crowded areas of KR
oh who am i kidding, kr has a better client due to it's text in the first place
but even so, my na client still lagged just a bit when i was on the market channel
honestly, a little lag never hurt anybody
it just makes it a pain when you're lagging during an important fight

Actually, I used the integrated card and it works just fine aside from a few select bugs such as the following:

I only do that when I have my laptop unplugged. If its plugged in I dont need to.

Again it can depend on the integrated card you use. I'm not saying theres something wrong with integrated cards themselves but rather there are some that are bad and some that are good. Most of the ones now can run mabi fine but there are some that cant.

So if it's plugged in it's fine and if it's not then it lags. What are you unplugging? Also it just not having it plugged in all the time not plausible?

Hello;
If you have the option, use windows 7. Because it seems the drivers for win 8 are not optimized yet. My problem (system: intel hd 4600 + nvidia gt 750m) was the heating in win 8. I changed to win 7 not it does not heat anymore.

integrated card is fine for mabi as long as the rest of your specs are up to par, though you obviously will get more out of a real gfx card
