Equipment:
*Thames set is a MUST for giants !
-Thames helm (Oblivion or Vine/ Dexterity)
-Thames armor (Sight/Glass Fragment)
-Thames boots (Fleet/Viscount)
-Thames gauntlet (Expansive/Elegant)
I would consider above enchants good for mid/early end game.
Most of them are easy to obtain (sight and oblivion can be difficult and expensive) and cost-efficient.
Late game you can always switch enchants (Steel Needle), (Glass fragment to Champion), (Fleet to Solo) but most of these are very expensive and requires you to rank up few skills.
Accessories: Stout/Earthquake is also great, but if you can afford Oblivion/Swarming, it would fit more for the endgame.
Weapons: Secret Penetrating Knight Lance
Problems with lances are that they have such a hideous balance and you will need few 'balance' enchants to keep those up.
Sight/Elegant/Glass fragment/Swarming would provide enough balances :)
Most importantly, if you are aiming for end-game gears, reforge is pretty much essential.
Few good reforges for lance are:
-Lance Charge damage (Gloves/Gauntlets)
-Lance Charge Cooldown reduction (Hat/Helmet)
-Horseback Lance Charge Distance (Boots)
-Element Reforges on Lance (each element level = 11.1% damage increase)
Keep in mind that lance charge reforges have significant multipliers and they do make HUGE difference !

I would recommend a Thames Set since you already have half of it done! As far as enchants go, there are pretty reasonable:
Head: Deserted Dexterity
Body: Sight Imp/Glass Fragment/Flash
Gloves: Corundum/Expansive Camo
Shoes: Corundum/Fleet Viscount
Accessories: Stout Earthquake (plentiful from gacha atm)
In the future, you can push for oblivion/nostalgic to replace the helm and shoe prefix enchants or if you really desire a challenge, double solo enchants and difficult (r4) for the gauntlet suffix along with tournai as your helm suffix. Eventually for endgame, you can aim for conceptual champion/avenger for your armor enchants but eh, it's not worth it IMO lolol. Oh and for accessories, you can always swap for oblivion/nostalgic prefixes.

Cheap/Easy Fixes for damage/low balance:
Thames Helmet: Deserted Dexterity
Thames Armor: Victorious/Special Imp/Glass Fragment (I would recommend Glass Fragment if you have low balance.)
Gloves: Corundum Elegant (Alternatively use the River Raven enchanted Admiral Owen's gloves from g15.)
Footwear: Strider Bold/Elegant (I find this to be a VERY easy fix for melee damage, and Valencia's greaves to be cheap equipment to enchant onto. This is what I used before upgrading to Thames.)
Lance: Secret Penetrating always. If you have the funds, R-upgrade it and reforge for elementals with Level 2 or above (ex. Fire/Ice/Lightning 2).
*Protip: Because you aren't able to use defense with lances and thus get the full utility out of that Vales shield, I would suggest switching it out with a Rebis Guard Cylinder to gain the 15% balance that comes from equipping it. With it, you can include some alchemy into your combos. I use wind blast to create distance, lance charge, and then follow up into my generic Smash-AS-Windmill.
With some money (and if you have sufficient balance), you can make:
Thames Helm: Oblivion/Deserted Dexterity
Armor: For OP, I would recommend staying with the enchants mentioned previously. For other giants, I would recommend buying a pre-enchanted Basic Avenger Val and enchanting Victorious/Special over it. That's what I did for a long while.
Gloves: Enchant Cold Hearted over max roll Raven gloves you obtain as a reward from g15. That should be 13 max.
Footwear: Fleet Viscount enchanted metal boots. Don't enchant Butterfly. Mana shield is god awful without reforges.
Shield enchants: Peculiar/Odd Alteration
Accessories: Burn Stout Earthquake enchanted accessories from Eweca Gacha and enchant them onto high str roll purple hearts.
What you'll be aiming for in the end:
Thames Helm: Oblivion Dexterity/Tournai (If you can afford the dex loss, go for it.)
Thames armor: Conceptual Champion
Thames Gauntlets: Solo/Steel Needle Backbreaking (r4 "Difficult" enchant on NA.)
Thames Greaves: Solo Viscount/Symbolic
Accessories: Oblivion Avenger/Fierce (Upgrade if you can.)
Shield: Oblivion Alteration
Prices for Thames (Ruairi Server):
Helm: 3/3 are ~350k
Armor: I would highly suggest buying 1/1 or 1/2 or 2/1 pieces for later because Conceptual does destroy the item on fail and you'll be spending a lot less per armor. You can stick to your 2/2 for now. High roll armors are 700k+ here while low roll goes for ~200k.
Gauntlets: 3/3 or 3/2 goes for ~200k.
Greaves: High roll ones go for 1.5-2m on Ruairi. You should always aim for high roll on these.

As for weapon choices, knight lance will probably be your main weapon.
Dual wielding used to be a decent option (ego iron mace + r6 warhammer), but not anymore because of 1. protection change, and 2. balance change.
Like others said, you might have balance problem with knight lance without balance enchants. The best equipment to slap balance enchant would be prefix for thames armor and suffix for the thame gauntlets.
Sight gives you good (but not the best) damage with 10 balance. For suffix, you can get swarming for 4 max and 3 balance (rarer to come by, but not expensive), or you can get elegant for easy balance/crit, and the enchant is easy to get.
Later on, bone breaker will probably give you more balance in the weapon itself, so that's another factor to consider.

Oh. I totally forgot to add that later on, most giants sacrifice utility for sheer damage with a max attack reforged cooking pot.

Don't know if this is much advice, but on my giant I am using two beginner maces(the free one from new characters), and when I compared the damage on my character page with both of them, and compared it to dual warhammers, the beginner maces are actually pretty much the same damage-wise, and have higher crit... So that's a good tip if you wanna save money with mace repairs.
I don't know anything about lances, though. :(
