I prefer digital painting because there isn't a crapload of stuff to put away once I'm done but I just started so I'm still a little shaky with it.

I actually need help with this one, my linework is incredibly pixelly, and the whole picture is rather low resolution, I was hoping someone could instruct me on how to fix this, I use Paint Tool SAI

If you want to use the default brushes, use the pen, and change the stabilizer settings. How high you set them depends on how comfortable you are. It slows your brush strokes down a bit and makes them smoother, and it's available or any brush/pen/etc you use. Depending on what version of SAI you have it might have a different name, but it's on the top bar, over the canvas area.

If you're shaky with your tablet(like me and Godzilla), try to sculpt your lines. From your short strokes, start a bit earlier from your most recent stroke and then go a bit further in the line you're making. Then, go back and erase the fly-away lines. This can take some time, but it's well worth it for a clean picture. Draw at a really high resolution(4000x4000 or something), it somehow helps.
