Wait isnt this that add on for the GBA version of Link to the Past ?? if so I already have it technically i just need some one else with a copy of a game to play it with and either a GBA and working link cable or original DS with Gameboy cartridge slot

Link cables don't work on anything DS and up. This is a special anniversary addition, so I doubt it will work with someone else's GBA version of the game. The only way to play with someone will be wireless play if they've downloaded it onto their 3DS/2DS as well.
