Turtle Beach PX22 for universal compatibility.
Amazon Link:
http://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Amplified-Universal-Headset-Playstation-3/dp/B00E5UHSYW/ref=sr_1_1/183-3343659-6938034?ie=UTF8&qid=1392072089&sr=8-1&keywords=px22
It also works for iPhones and iPads.
It's around $70 which is a decent price for headsets.
I myself own a P11 because I mainly only use headsets for CoD in PS3 and games on PC.

Sorry to steal this thread but I had a similar question about headphones?
What would be a good pair of headphones to purchase in a budget of roughly 70-150$?
The key things I'm looking for on the headphones are
1. Sound quality ( rich,full/immersive sound)
2. External noise cancellation.
I don't care too much for style/looks/bluetooth.
Thanks!
Oh if possible, the headphones don't have to be *designed for apple products*. I'm mainly using them for PC.

I'm using a pair of sennheiser hd280. If you want a mic, the best thing to do is probably use the velcro mic mod on a headphone or get a mod mic.
If you want a good pair of headphones, get the HD380, those are better than the HD280 and you can get them for 150 dollars. They ARE pretty massive though and you'll probably find yourself only using them at home. As people have said before, the ATH50 is a great pair of headphones, later on this year, they'll release the ATH50x which is a slightly updated version that has a removeable headjack and comes with three different cables depending if you want to use it at home or if you plan to go out with it.
Also the whole "designed for apple products" on a headphone is purely a marketing statement meant to sell more crap to the oblivious consumer who don't do any research on the things they buy.

You may be able to find a pair of ATH-M50 near your budget. Do you know people that work at Bestbuy or something?

They're not, not even in the ballpark. They just have good marketing and are loud. In terms of range, you won't get close to infra- or ultra-sound frequencies, So those with good hearing range don't have the full experience. In clarity they're beat out by a large number of brands. And they're overpriced to boot.
