I just realize that i dont have 80% balance with lance ... idk y i havent noticed it until now but yea its a painfully low balance of 67% atm ... here some questions i hav about it ...

Currently have 200 dex with heavy armor equipped
Have sight and elegant enchant on my current set [+20% balance]
Questions :
Someone explain how the the formula works? Im rusty with logs...
How much dex do i need to hit 80% cap? [number wise with heavy armor and actually number without]?
What enchants should are better max replacements for sight/elegant enchant? When should i start switching? And how much more dex do i need now that i swap these + balance enchants.

1)Balance Formula:
-38.53273 +12.60834*ln(DEX+10.4342)
2) One of major problems with mob' dropped lances
Mob dropped lances have relatively low balance compared to smith'd ones.
B+ grade (sig ones) will have 15 balance, so if you switch to smithed KL, you can improve your balance +12% as well.

Funny how one of the reason i risked r6ing my lance was the fact that i had a knight lance manual and was planning to replace it with a smithed one if i happen to fail it ... but i didnt fail, so i might as well stick with this r6 sp lance. too difficult to replace it with a smithed one atm...

Realistically speaking, to cap balance with your lance, you'd probably need 1.2k+ dex. I know someone with higher balance lance asked similar question, and I remember he had to have around 1k dex to get 80 without balance enchants.
If you haven't spent too much reforge into it yet, you could try to make another lance. You can go for demonic, which should give you much higher balance. Or use your own smithed lances.
Another option would be to get strider boots and swarming accs, but I assume you don't want strider.
To me, making a new lance seems to be the most ideal choice.

I get 68% balance with heavy armor equipped. That's using a Grade A Knight Lance and ~360 dex after the -35% dex from heavy armor. No balance enchants of any sort. With elegant I hit 78% and at that point 2% isn't going to make or break me. So using that example...a smithed knight lance gives you a huge improvement in balance. Make a new lance.

The most you can get from stats/skills is 65%; 50% from dexterity, and 15% from combat mastery. The remaining 15%, or more likely around 20%, has to come from either enchants or your lances balance itself. If you're going to wear heavy armor with r1 mastery as a human, you will receive a 5% balance penalty in the form of less dexterity. If you do not have balance on your lance and wish to use enchants, I suggest the following:
Accessories: Swarming / Fierce (Ribbon)
Body: Sight
Gloves: Elegant
Shoes: Strider / Elegant
The best way to get 80% balance while sacrificing the least max is to get Sight, Strider, and Swarming. You may also get balance from reforges, although I personally do not recommend this.

I had the same problem too Chaos. Here's the link to my thread about my own lance balance.

Thanks for all the info
So basically ... i need a new lance :/
but im already using sight and elegant es so i guess having a +47% balance from dex is all i need ...? until i deem those enchant slots more important for other max base es.

Around the time you have 750-850 dex (my dex range right now), you'll have enough balance to either replace sight or elegant assuming you're using smithed knight lance or demonic lance. I'd recommend getting conceptual rather than swarming or difficult, since I see the latter two less on the market, while conceptual is constantly released.
