Lots and lots of watching and reading and interpreting.
Enlighten me on the path of indifference
Well from what I learned in class, conflict is healthy, and can be turned into positive things if you know how. He's right about one thing, if something is wrong, then fix it, although not in a way he thinks, when something is wrong it takes more than that person to fix it, changes in relationship dynamics or mostly changes on his part is required to make the change work.
I've never met someone who is genuinely selfless, usually there is something they benefit from, whether it be to make themselves feel better or get a pat on the back along with an "atta boy"
Impatience is normal, it runs on a spectrum?
Everyone makes mistakes
"Out of control" and " hard to handle" is so fucking vague and could mean anything
Humans are fucking flawed and if you're going to sit there and tell people they're not allowed to be then you can sit there waiting for your perfect partner with one hand on your mouse and the other on your dick
(I swear some of you will probably die alone lol)
Most of human behaviors are selfish, But sometime people don't even realize what they do is selfish because the connections between their action and the benefits are subtle.
Although I don't know, as society evolves maybe in the future people will exhibit less individuality and fully accept their community identity as their only identity.
That kinda sounds like communism, but it's not really something I can really disagree with. I prefer to strike a balance, but that seems nearly impossible.
This discussion is fucking stupid. Just because there is a minute correlation between any action you do on your own and them making yourself feel better in some obscure way does not mean that everything you do is jsut for you to feel better. When a warrior lays down his life for the clan it's not for a net profit in personal lust. When someone gets a bad conscience and reveals something bad he's done knowing full well he's going to jail it's not for a net personal profit. It should be fucking obvious.
And what's this nonsensical talk of "truly selfless"? Is that a "not a true scotsman" argument? So someone who risks his life for his community or just individual persons is not "truly selfless"? You think you're as good as a firefighter? Well fuck, you aren't. You aren't half the way.
But it's ignored, because you have to make yourself feel better by lying to yourself that everything people do is for their personal profit. People always want to drag everything down to their level - it's a kind of socialism, innit. Just because you don't know how to truly give a meaningful sacrifice doesn't mean other people don't.
Nope sorry, people who volunteer jobs like firefighters tend to do so to see like Heroes, to get a pat on the back from society. Maybe part of it has to actually has to do with helping people but the main thing is "oh, look what job I have" or maybe in Germany people are just less shitty.
People in the military tend to come from poor backgrounds and do it for the benefits, not protect anyone.
I hate the "oh look I'm a soldier, I went to a foreign country and killed babies for no reason aren't you so proud of me?"
I do believe there is good in people, but the bad, selfishness, sides almost always comes first.
There's nothing wrong with it either, to an extent, there is nothing wrong with putting your needs ahead of everyone else's
Maybe I'm just bitter from all of the shitty people I've met
