Getting around my college's protection.

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can not register, post or otherwise interact with the site other than browsing the content for historical purposes. The content is provided as-is, from the moment of the last backup taken of the database in 2019. Image and video embeds are disabled on purpose and represented textually since most of those links are dead.

I can't connect to Steam and Mabi. Some websites are blocked by the proxy or VPN or whatever. I can't even access some websites to get around the protection.

I have this problem for mabi at my school as well. In order to bypass it I use hidemyass vpn. This caused insane lag on mabi though so I also used wtfast after using hidemyass and surprisingly enough I don't lag at all when I use it. Good luck!

You can't access online games. If you want to play a steam game offline, just log into steam at home before going to school. I tried this shit at my cegep as well.

You need to set up a tunnel between your computer and another location (like at home), on a port that pretty much has to be open (80 or 443 usually).
Then use an application to direct traffic of all or specific applications through that tunnel.

You'll have to google for the rest of it, since I'm usually on the end trying to stop you guys doing this.
