  There's a difference between defending yourself and defending your property
  In some areas of Texas you can shoot trespassers on sight

  You do not shoot people who are not threatening you
  Even if they are criminals
  Even if you do not know their intentions
  If you come home to a burglar who is trying to flee you do NOT shoot them
  
  You do not shoot unarmed boys in the street because they're wearing a hood
  I don't care if they have baggy jeans, gold teeth, and tattoos that say "thug lyfe"
  You don't threaten and harass random fucking people
  
  
  The only acceptable time I can think of shooting someone is if someone is threatening you with a gun, and even then I'd try to shoot them in the knee or something
  
  Stand your ground doesn't mean you have permission to shoot someone if they have a gun to your wife's head
  
  Stand your ground means even if you can run away, you don't have to, you can stay to fight (and apparently kill)
  
  Only 16 states have such laws, the rest of the county does just fine without them
  (Go figure most are those bumfuck uneducated, gun toting, Jesus loving, mitt Romney voting, yellow teeth having red states)

Because of your own personal experience? If someone was judging a black guy because of their own personal experiences, it would be wrong. If you know republicans, gun owners, religious people who are stupid then feel free to tell them off, but you don't have to put down an entire group of people for it. Hatred doesn't help anything, education and respect does. :))

  I wouldn't say everyone here in the South is terrible, but there definitely is a large number of bigots. And no, I'm not stereotyping that the South is more prone to having bigotry, and being filled with intolerance, it's just the truth.
