With high enough ranks in musical knowledge and composing, scrolls you make in-game can randomly have magical music on them (Rank 9+ for stat buffs, Rank 5+ for the special effects).
One of these special effects is "Music of Peace", which upon success causes monsters around you to drop aggro. Magical scrolls can fail and have negative effects when they fail though, and the peaceful music's fail effect causes monsters to /gain/ aggro on you.
This is notable because it effects things other than monsters, and things that actually have an attacking AI, such as the dogs, in Tir, will be compelled to attack you.
But they still can't be targeted! So the only way I know of to damage them in return is to load up counterattack and wait for them to kill themselves on you.
