Mana Shield Formula / Reforge

Does anyone happen to know how they work right now in NA? With around 350 magic attack and r6 MS, I take 27 damage from white dragon's breath attack as well as the snowfield slayer's strikes. When I equip MS 10 gloves I seem to take 26, which is rather underwhelming.

I have 203 matk and r6 mana shield and take 48 dmg with mana shield up. With lvl 10 reforge I take 28 dmg. I think before someone mentioned diminishing returns?

I've collected the following data from White Dragon's breath attacks today:

It seems that mana reduction has had no effect, and the mana shield reforge has taken very little to no effect as magic attack rises. Magic attack seems to scale rather nicely though.

Edit: At this point I have rerolled my MS gloves.

me and my guildmaster did a test with ms just now.

me 408 int 79 matk naked
lyf capped int 424 matk naked

damage is from wd breath same one zekki used.

without gloves

me 55

with level 20 reforge

me 17dmg
lyf 17dmg

with wand+gloves

so mana shield reforge is useless with a wand but with any other weapon its still usefull specially to ppl like me who doesnt rank int skills unless they come with str or dex lol.sorry no graph.
