Maybe the $80,000 one was fake, but I have a hard time imagining the other 500+ being sold for hundreds/thousands are all fake. xD
Also now he's getting spammed with public death threats from people demanding that he put it back up. xD
I hope he doesn't so I can sell my iPod for like 100,000 and get an even better one or iPod 6 and then still have money to buy like 3 new computers and well anything

Yeah I need to sell my phone now.
Apparently the guy "couldn't take it" and succumbed under the pressure of his creation suddenly being so popular. He was supposedly making over $50k a day. Some say it was a mastermind plan to boost his sales up by large amount before it got taken out.
Anyways, has anyone gotten a score of over 45 yet? It's my highscore.

The game was really all hype i found it so lackluster and boring also a little frustrating. My friend on the other hand got up too 202 trying hard at the game, I being a good friend modded the game, made the pipes invisible and got up too 250 and told him to beat that. Just some friendly competition :chin:

I recently could've won one. Would've just resold it though.

Well Flappy Bird garnered a lot of discussion at work today. Before the weekend, I had never heard of this game and all of a sudden started to see it blow up on tumblr and then the removal made it get talked about even more. It's really peculiar and funny to me. Especially with how anti mobile gaming I am. I don't think I'll ever understand it but at the same time, I can't help but feel like I should nudge my company more to make some mobile games seeing that there's clearly money in it.

I was expecting to see this thread about 2 weeks ago, when it was already speeding up on popularity. Guess there's no time but now.
My college hall has been obsessed with it since the day it came out. I'm too obsessed with Puzzle and Dragons to care. It's just another random trend that seems to catch on far more quickly than other trends do. Might be because of the easy accessibility of it(on the iOS and Android stores) and it's simplicity. But as quick as it catches on, as quick as it falls. Nobody will be talking about this game in a month or two.

http://www.droidreport.com/flappy-bird-high-score-leads-chicago-murder-5503
“Gary Wright, 16 years old, was playing ‘Flappy Bird’ with his Brother, Jabari Wright, 17 years old, when Jabari reached a score of 17 in the game. Things quickly got out of hand when Jabari kept teasing Gary about his high score, which was 6. Gary allegedly stabbed Jabari with a knife 17 times in the chest, referencing his high score of 17. Gary himself called the police after he killed his brother and turned himself in. The Brothers’ parents have refused to speak to reporters.â€
Fortunately, the report turned out to be a fake as Huzlers describes itself as “a combination of real shocking news and satire news to keep its visitors in a state of disbelief.†As reported by iDigitalTimes the Flappy Bird high-score murder story turned out to be of the latter variety.
Though the story was quickly debunked as a hoax, many quickly took to social media and Reddit to express outrage over the Flappy Bird slaying and lament the downfall of Western Civilization.
