Mabinogi and Windows 8

  Ok so I recently installed W8 on my laptop and had to reinstall Mabi. When I launched the game it would load till I would actually try log in and it would just crash. The message that appeared was "Program has crashed due to an error". After that installed a package file posted on here because someone had the same issue and now it works. But it crashes sometimes unexpectedly. So I removed the game and reinstalled. And I'm having the same issue can someone help me with this please!

  Not really sure, this doesn't happen to me. But I do crash from time to time, it be like "Oops this wans't suppose to happen." or something like that.

  I used to have a lot of issues with mabinogi on win8 before, I could get it to run the first couple days and then it would never play again. It would constantly crash and I couldn't find a solution. Eventually, however, I did discover that downloading the game through steam and playing it via steam launcher seems to work (for me). You could try that and see if it works rather than just the game client from the website.

  I'm playing it through steam on win8 and have not had issues. My client pretty much only closes during maintenance times.

  Took me awhile too for installing mabinogi and then patching. I think nexon forgot they had a Steam version and never updated the files...

  [FONT="Arial"]Honestly, the best fix for Mabi with Windows 8 (for me anyways) is to constantly re-install when I have problems.
  Oddly enough, it ends up working. I know this isn't a preferred method, but it's what I do, and it works for me every single time. Besides that, be sure to check the compatibility mode as well.

  I think Mabinogi have more problem with newer version of Windows, I'm running it on Win7 because it run really bad on my Win8/8.1
