I haven't been able to play mabi recently or have had difficulties playing it due to lag. :gloom3:
I've tried changing my mtu along with following guides that have been posted however they don't seem to help. My issue with lag is only with mabinogi. Playing other games online like dayz , blacklight retribution , Just Cause 2 multiplayer or Vindictus. They all play flawlessly which is where the issue comes from.
Simply put the only game that lags (in connection not FPS) is mabinogi and at this point I have no clue how to fix it.

Just asking because I don't see any mention of it: Is your computer denagled?

Speaking of lag, there was a huge in-game lag around 7pm EST...

I did do that.

It might be the servers, because I've also tried denagling and doing that MTU thingy, and it still lags badly sometimes while other games are fine... It seems to come in spikes, and usually during the day. Methinks Nexon just has cardboard servers. :(

You could try a VPN (Virtual Private Network).
It's pretty self-explanatory in the name, connects you to a private network, which gives you the benefits of said network, such as high-bandwidth, location of the network, etc. (Basically serves for increased network functionality, but can also serve the purpose of network security.)
The only issue is that any dedicated VPN costs money. Which, I use WTFast, which while I'm using DSL, makes my connection practically lagless. (I'm on the east coast, but I connect to a network on the west coast, and I'm golden.) And it comes with a free 30 day trial, so, why not?
One other addition, if you're not using a wired connection (via Ethernet cable), then you should try to your best ability to do so, because it's heavily more reliable then a wireless connection.

I've also been having lag issues as of these past two days.
I've tried the MTU fix, denagling, and using a vpn - all to no avail. I seriously can't even visit the Mabinogi website. My friend is having this exact same problem, too.
The lag comes and goes in spikes that can last for up to two hours. I went into Peaca Abyss when everything seemed fine and just got disconnected when Duke was at 10% hp. Yeah, I'm pretty frustrated.

Not completely sure what you mean, but for me, yes, everything but the game and Mabinogi's website work fine. Can load up any other game and/or go to any other website with no problems.

When the website is working fine, in the start menu type "cmd" with no quotes and hit enter.
Then in the black box type "tracert mabinogi.nexon.net" with no quotes, hit enter, and wait for it to finish.
When it's done resize the window, take a screenshot, and save it somewhere.
Then repeat it again when the site is unreachable.
Post both here for a comparison.

Will do. There'll be lag spikes tomorrow, no doubt. I'll take the screenshot then.

Are you able to load the website when you get that result? I get the same thing (it reaches Nexon's servers and is masked from there) and can access it just fine.
The website and game server are separate IPs, thus the clarification.

I went ahead and moved this thread to the repair shop since this is a specific client related issue, if this issue isn't already resolved you might get the more appropriate attention here for your issue. Though your current assistants seem pretty helpful as it is :) Hopefully you've already resolved your issue by now though!
