Weird Mabi Players

This is like some weird glitch on my game. Random players are switching back and forth between their equipment and cloaks with faceless masks. I checked some of the player's equipment and none of them had cloaks or masks on, so I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my game. If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it. Sorry if this has already been asked, but I wasn't able to find anything like this on the forums. Thanks again for any help.

You have enabled the "Minimize other players" option. This is typically hotkeyed on the / key on your numpad.

Ah, I see. Thanks, I must've accidentally pressed the key on my keyboard and didn't realize it. I wonder why it made them wear those weird clothes, though.

Its purpose is to lower graphics lag. You should utilize it when you're in a crowded area such as the market or Raids. Some people rather have it off and stare at other people's pixels. The default hotkey is the "/" key on the number pad and not the one next to the right shift key so you can easily turn it on and off when you want.

Also the game has settings to automatically turn it on if your FPS drops below a certain (configurable) level.

Yeah, now I know how it got turned on. I was passing by the White Dragon and it did some giant attack thing and I lagged really bad. That's probably when it got turned on.
