"The Path of Mabinogi Installation is Invalid"

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can not register, post or otherwise interact with the site other than browsing the content for historical purposes. The content is provided as-is, from the moment of the last backup taken of the database in 2019. Image and video embeds are disabled on purpose and represented textually since most of those links are dead.

Basically it wouldn't update so I decided to reinstall it. First weird thing I saw was that instead of downloading the installer onto the desktop like usual it created a new folder for it. Version 177R. HELP.

I'm curious, when you uninstalled it, did you go into the file path and completely remove the folder? I'm not sure if that would help, but it's worth a shot.. also do you run it on its own, or through Steam?

I had this same problem for a good two days. You need to follow the steps in this video (can't post links, put this after youtube dot com):

I had this issue and no amount of googling fixed it.

If you haven't already, you can try going to the Download Page and clicking the link beneath the green box (it says something about downloading the game the "old fashioned" way). For some reason the newer installer just doesn't like my computer, but that method solved my problem.
