Since around four days ago I have been unable to start Mabinogi. After running the client and hitting game start, hackshield will load but Mabinogi itself will not start and I will receive a "Send Error Report to Nexon" window. I am running Windows 7 and Mabinogi works just fine on my brothers laptop that runs Windows 8. I did notice that on my laptop Nexon Guard does not load up before either.
I have:
- Reinstalled Mabinogi (twice)
- Manually updated hackshield
- Disabled Data Execution Prevention
- Tried using it with and without the Gamebooster application
- Tried starting it from the Client and the website
- Checked my processes to make sure client.exe is not running
- Added an exception to my antivirus (Windows Security Essentials)
Please help :wink:

Try starting up regedit and completely wiping all traces of Mabinogi from your computer, and then do a clean install. (ctrl+ f 'mabinogi' and 'nexon' and delete all results)

how about compatibility mode, run as admin and try re-download the installer?

Compatibility mode does not work with Mabi and the other two I have tried. This all really started right after Nexon made that announcement about going after suspicious activity.
