  I didn't want to accidentally take over somebody's thread, and because there isn't one on this game yet, I thought I'd go ahead and introduce it.
  
  So what is P&D?
  Currently for the iPhone and Android in both US and JP stores.
  
  If you've ever played bejeweled, it's sorta like that where you move tiles around to gain combos however, instead of it being just combos and nothing else, those combos actually go towards attacks. How does this work? There are 5 elements and in-game they take on the form of orbs (water,fire,earth,light,and dark). In order to use an attack on a respective element, you must get three in a row (horizontal or vertical doesn't matter, but diagonal doesn't work).
  
  Is it free?
  The game itself is free, but it's severely Pay 2 Win. Each player has a stamina gauge, and that stamina is what's required to actually play a dungeon. Because the game is so addicting, Magic Stones can be bought and used to replenish stamina when it runs out. Unfortunately, if you're not a person that spends money or can't, you have to wait some time for your gauge to fill back up. Every 10 minutes equals one stamina point. The pros and cons of leveling up is that you have more stamina to go through more dungeons, but you have to wait longer for your gauge to fill and it only gets longer from there.
  
  There are also gachapons that give players a chance to receive more powerful monsters. There's a basic gacha, a magic stone gacha, and a colab gacha. The colab gachas tend to change from time to time but require magic stones (5 stones = 1 try at the gacha). The last one was HunterxHunter and this one is Evangelion.
  
  Also, magic stones can be used to revive your team if you get a Game Over. AND they can increase your Monster Box size if you go over, and don't want to clean out the monsters you don't want.

  Played for over a year.(Might use a lot of jargon in this)
  I run every type of mono team, with situational teams based on AmaxOdin and Cuchu or Ame No Uzume for spiking.
  
  The game is heavily based around two types of clearing dungeons: Stalling with the ultimate defense so you'll whittle down the enemy with % based attacks, or just bursting down everything with heavy ATK multiplier teams. Most of the time, if you don't have the right team setup, a Descended Dungeon(end-game dungeon) will soak your money out of stones because there's very few ways to go about zero-stoning(clearing them without wasting any money/stones) unless your teams are high-leveled from the get-go.
  
  Amateratsu is my favorite god because she was my first, and she carried me through all the possible descendeds that she could do. Now I'm stuck until I get my balance or Ame No Uzume team up to par.
  
  Honestly in my opinion: If you haven't started, please stay well away from this game if possible. The monster collecting aspects are easily ruined by how much pay2win potential there is everywhere even if they give the players free magic stones every day during events.

  Taken straight from my phone since I'm lazy. That's basically the team I use all the time as my fire types are my strongest. I haven't been playing that long though. I heard about the game sometime in early January. My favorite monsters are those you can join with that convert tiles resulting in max combos. My Highlander can convert healing tiles to wood and I use that one frequently.

  This; the game is still successful even without all the pay2win. I would definitely play both, but I'd probably pick P&DZ if I could only pick one. It actually stays true to the game's name too.

  @Sedia: Nice Ame No Uzume, she's a god that'll burst through dungeons like a cinch with others. At this point you'll want to fill your team with members that compliment Ame's leader skill, which is only for fire monsters. Try to farm the second tier of the Fire Dungeon for a Naga(I believe it's the 4th stage of that dungeon), and Tower Of Giants for a Gigas. The Gigas is the Fire version of Highlander, known as Heartbreakers by most of the community. A Naga is especially useful because her active skill sets a 3 turn delay on all enemies, giving you 3 free actions of comboing/healing/whatever. If you can get a lil fire dragon from the PAL machine, it makes a great sub as well when evolved.
  
  Having orb changers to fire orbs is essential in your current team-setup, because later dungeons will chunk you for more than 50% of your HP, so you have to keep matching fire orbs to keep OHKOing mobs to stay on top of it. Her healing skill helps, but once your HP dips below the threshold, you'll start dealing regular damage until your HP is above the threshold BEFORE you match orbs.
  
  I would go against evolving Ame No Uzume until you're at a higher rank, which then you'll have a higher Team Cost limit. All un-evo'd monsters at their max level have higher stats than the first 30 levels of their new evolution, so it's sometimes better to keep them un-evolved if there's no EXP to get them past that threshold before they start earning more stats than they had lost during the process. If that makes any sense at all.

  Yeah, I wasn't thinking of evolving her yet since I need to level up all of my other monsters on my team to raise their overall damage. Right now, even with two fire-type monsters, the dungeons are still really easy if I can chain-combo fire orbs. The Heartbreaker is why I'm trying to get anyway.
  
  I just rolled the Eva Gachapon this morning and managed to snag a Rei Ayanami light-type. I added her to a second team.

  I saw the video for the 3DS system, not really understanding why the Flash-like graphics are boosting the game to a best-selling 3DS title. Can anyone explain what's so great about the 3DS game as compared to the actual mobile game? Is it the gameplay? Or the story? Or the fact that you don't need to pay for crystals and just need that one-off 3DS title purchase?

  Probably just the fact that it's non-IAP. And because of story. And because of more dragons. And moving monsters was a huge plus.

  Congrats on your first semi-useless gold egg! Basically, if it's not anything like the monsters shown in this catalog, then chances are it's not going to be a good monster for your team to do dungeons beyond the Normal ones with. Verche won't get you far, I'll tell you right now. He makes for a very useful team member/sub, but not as a leader which beginning players need.

  Of course, even then there are some Gods that could be considered useless or not as powerful as other Gods are. That's the nature of a pay2win game. At this point you might want to consider "rerolling". Uninstall and re-install the app, and do the tutorial again for another 5 stones to try again at the Rare Egg Machine. If it's not anything like those in that catalog, then re-roll again if you'd like. It'll save you anger and frustration in the long run as some Gods can handle almost all the end-game content right from the get-go, while some Gods fall off faster than others and some team compositions don't work against the dungeon you're trying to attempt. There'll be many a situation where you'll wish you had that one God or that one monster, due to the way some dungeons work. Not to mention there are some gods in a series who seem to get the short end of the stick, while some gods get all the benefits.
  
  Post again once you've gotten another God, but some great ones in some series that are definite keepers(in order of reliability+end-game potential):
  -Egyptian Gods(Horus, Anubis, Ra, Bastet)
  -Chinese Gods(Kirin, Haku, Leilan, Genbu)
  -Japanese 2.0 Gods(Umisachi and Yamasachi, Kushinada, Okuninushi)
  -Archangel Series(Lucifer)
  -Greater Deities(Red Sonia, Dark Metatron, Blue Sonia, Green Sonia, Light Metatron, Green Odin, Red Odin, Blue Odin)
  -Norse/Roman Gods(Any of them will do... for awhile...)
  -Japanese Gods(Amateratsu)
  -Indian Gods(Shiva, Lakishimi, Pavariti)
  -Everything else can be rerolled

  Anyways, first rule of P&D is only roll on Godfest. This isn't that important for rerolling(still helps), but afterwards, only roll during Godfest.

  These kinds of games are really common in the Japanese iOS store, so I don't think it's that special. I mean, another game called "Kamirensa Jewel Heaven" has a system where all cards can reach maximum rarity/strength, and that depletes the pay-to-win feature quite a bit. I would rate that game slightly superior to P&D.
