I'll leave my stats and skills here. I'd like some advice on ranking skills good for archery, please.
(I haven't bothered getting crash shot yet, dex is still low)

Should I be aiming for the skills that get the Sniper title first? I want to get most of the skills done before investing in better gear.

Bow mastery, xbow master, crash shot, final shot, mirage missle, support shot should be ur priorities. Basically all range skills, then move onto life skills for the dexterity. I suggest crash shot and support shot be one of your last since crash shot is very ap heavy and support shot is a big grind, bow mastery and xbow mastery are simple to do and mirage missle and final shot I dont really know too much about since im not an elf but they can be very useful.

Apart from what pure said I wouldn't rank final shot past rank 6 until way later down the road due to how much AP it'll take (200+ ap just for the last 5 ranks). I basically considered mirage missile to just be a life skill since it's a bunch of dex for not alot of AP. I'd recommend finishing all the skills that are required for the sniper title in the following order:
1. Ranged attack
2. Magnum shot
3. Bow mastery
4. Crash shot
5. Xbow mastery
6. Support shot
Ranged attack for aim speed (it's seriously an issue with elf range, get it to r1 to get as much as you can), magnum shot since it'll be your main damage dealer for a LONG time until crash shot becomes more efficient (thanks to elf magnum spam). The rest are basically skills that will be mostly useless to you until later on in the game, but still required for the sniper title (crash shot will have horrible damage, elves DO NOT use xbows, and you probably wont be support shotting melee users who will actually benefit much from it early game). Apart from those skills always make sure you rank critical hit as soon as it is possible to rank (it will train itself passively).
Another route you can take is just rank up Ranged attack, magnum, and bow mastery and then focus on life skills only since they will give you more max damage for less AP, therefore progressing your character faster. That's what I did up until my total was around 500 and if you like grinding out life skills I definitely recommend it. After all that some of the easier life skills (other than refine) are metallurgy, sheep shearing, egg gathering, weaving, fishing, and first aid. Those all give some pretty nice dex for really low AP costs and are pretty easy I'd say.
Don't forget it's not too late to quit your elf and just play on a giant.

Keep in mind they already r1ed ranged attack and magnum shot. After that priorities are kinda meh really.

Thanks for the advice guys! So I've done ranged attack, magnum, and refining so far. Is weaving really hard to rank like refining? I was planning to do life skills after finishing up a few more combat skills.
On a side note, I usually level by spamming The Other Alchemists and SCC (I actually took Summon Golem as my first r1 skill on this particular char to solo basilisk and doppelganger/act as meat(stone?) shield).

If you somehow get perfect reset capsule, reset golem, it really isn't going to help you much.
As for weaving, rank 9 and 8 are the hard part, otherwise it's not that bad.

rF -> r1 refining took me around 6 or 7 hours, r8 weaving alone took me 4 days of straight grinding. Although a lot of people had better luck with rng than me on that rank, it's pretty fucking annoying. If you want just leave it at r8 then do the other life skills I listed. Also if you think refining is super hard all the life skills I listed are just as hard or harder so you might not want to do range if life skills turn you off.

I honestly would rank mirage missile before crossbow mastery, support shot, and crash shot (get r9 crash before though). Mirage does you a hell of a lot of good especially against bandits and in shadow missions (if you solo stuff a lot). Other than that, I think the advice everyone else gave is good.

Going off with this, life skills aren't all easy in general. The minor ones are pretty easy, but the ones that give you more stats will be harder.
You might wanna consider your budget as well. You'll probably buy the mats at some point.

Hearing this makes me so happy I finished refine first.

For weaving if you can get ahold of 2x training pots i suggest u use them for r8 while on talent to give yourself a boost. Rng will likely fk you over, so its best to get ahold of every point you can while it favors you for a short time. And also, I suggest you set up a spider farm in emain on a channel that wont have alot of people and have a few bags empty to stock on cobwebs and perhaps have a spinning wheel and loom in your homestead for ease of access.

On a side note, is it a good idea to rank Barrier Spikes to hide behind?

You could use them..... only thing is they can only be used in shadow missions and dungeons and don't move around in either of those very quickly. Ive found rF sand burst to be an effective staller and its instant load.
