Black Dragon Raids 3/8 to 3/9!

More Black Dragons will be summoned on Saturday and Sunday of this week. All are welcome, and expect this to be a weekly occurrence unless stated otherwise :) We have roughly 70-80 summoning scrolls from our primary providers to use. No sign up is necessary and so far we have not failed to slay even a single dragon on the announced dates so dragon death is assured! Tell your friends, tell your guild, and get on dragon slaying... and sell me them black dragon hearts!

As previously mentioned, we don't care how strong or weak you are. It's been confirmed you do not need max contribution points to get good stuff. In fact, our last raid someone with merely 3k contribution got an eyeball and scored a big chunk of change from yours truly D:

[S]Today [2/23/14], Simply will be hosting public black dragon summons. This will take place at 7PM EST and run until the event fizzles out. Yesterday there was a turnout of over 25 people, each dragon dying within 10 minutes. Again, this is a public event so come test your luck at that precious black dragon eyeball or heart. If the turnout is nice, we may do this again next weekend or repeatedly over time. [/S]

Okay guys, the last runs went great! A ton of people showed up and a ton of dragons perished so we are doing it again. A few other dragon hunters were really eager to do some more raids, so we are going to try again today! Tonight at 5 PM EST we will likely try meeting up and begin raiding.

[SPOILER="Second event"]It's time again, some more black dragon raids are on the way this Saturday March 1st. This is a recruitment and awareness thread as we need all the people we can get! If you want to commit to coming you can send me a PM or post here so I can get a rough idea of how many dragon knights we have lined up. We have enough people committed to summoning dragons to spawn dragons Saturday and Sunday.

It doesn't matter how strong or weak you are, if you are willing to die for a good cause then go for it! Afterall, afaik 1k contribution points is all you need to get that black dragon heart or eyeball and make some money.

Thanks xD I just hate for things like this to go unnoticed because word doesn't get around to everyone and then only a handful of people end up getting cool stuff. I actually wasn't even in the loop on this until the last minute so I wanted to share for sure. Tell your friends!

You probably know this already, but use a activated brionac to lower the dragon's defense/protection to mow down it's health faster(around 5~7 smashes/hits should be enough)

Thanks for putting this out there. It quite literally started out as a group of about 3 of us (Nayu, Enhalo, and I) just talking about smacking around some dragons. Then it just snowballed from there haha. But yeah, only one way anyone is going to get those materials needed for their beloved weapons, so come be meat fodd- ...dragon bai- ...I mean...You get the picture. :D

Edit: @Tropa- Nah I just whack it around a bit with my cooking knife. That sure showed him!

I'll try going. So far on Ruairi it's been very boring for dragon raids. By boring I mean every time it spawns and I go to it, I'm the only person there.

Same :) Thats why I think it's a good idea for everyone to come together on specific dates/days/weekends and get the word out there.

No problem, I'm up to help in any way I can. Heck I can pitch in a few dragon scrolls even, I just want to see these damn black dragons eradicated.

We need to show Tarlach up and get the ball rolling on these bd kills like mari and alexina :D

Might actually log on for this tonight. I've never done these raids, well I have but I'm pretty lost as what I should be doing. I've only done them twice and it was for white dragon and they both failed... Tips?

The raid itself is pretty easy, you just fulfill whatever requirement you get for your quest. Generally speaking its smash things or attack things or both. I recommend against equipping a blessed spirit weapon incase you die, brionac helps the raid as a whole kill the dragon itself faster and thus get more raids in. (smash/wm). Even if you finish your contribution points, continue to attack even if its just smash spam or competing for the kill with regular hits, the dps is needed to finish these things.

All in all, its not a hard raid if enough folks show up which Im thinking there will be even without this post/thread. So just show up, do as much damage as you can and make sure you get as many contribution points as you can for a good reward.

Yep yep :) Just make sure to check your field boss quest and take care of that before mag spamming. I don't think there is a sniper quest for this dragon.
