They seem to be the best of each armor class that you can get, yet I've never seen a player wearing them.

If I wasnt relient on my Cressida set, I'd make the Bhafel set(minus Head piece).
The armors do give the most defenses(mainly magical) of any type. I personally wouldn't make a "full" set, but maybe just parts if you really need them.

This one time I saw the languhiris chaser armour on the mabi wiki, and I spent ages searching through shops and housing before I bothered to look at the materials required to make it.

They really arent worth the cost.... I've seen people make them for fashionogi reasons but their too expensive for such a small bonus compared to their more efficient counterparts.

I'm trying to get into more WD/BD raids for materials for a bhafel set + sword. I still have a long ways to go, but materials are getting a bit cheaper as time goes on.

Totally agree with this^ The one time I actually saw a "set", it was just slightly below overall average in stats for all pieces.
As stated above: the only reason why people don't make it is:
a) The current Mabinogi economy makes the armor very costly to create. Keep in mind there is the risk of creating a terrible armor set or superb armor set (The gamble with any Dragon Raid crafted equipment)
b)If you've taken time in reforging and enchanting your current gear (ie, Tropa's Cress set + My Thames set), remaking a full set will be very tedious and very cost ineffective just for the small bonus. [Also the set enhancement bonus isn't something out of this world: speed on one and assault slash on another?]

Personally i think its worth getting a Chaser set if you are using dual guns. It gives full attack speed enhancements so you don't need to enchant automatic/viscount.
But is it really worth spending 40m for extra 40 dual gun max? Maybe, if the person is an end-game user and will do everything to get an another max dmg.

Chinese dragon armor set is a much more cost-efficient set for this.
That being said, I'd say att. speed is worth it, seeing as how easy it is to get the Chinese dragon set.
As for the chaser set, ideally you'd want enchants on... but looking at the availability, that's pretty much out of the question, hence why it's better used as fashion right now.
To answer the OP, the reason people don't get these armor is because of efficiency. For bhafel slayer set, you could yield a similar result with the Royal Knight Armor set, and those aren't hard to get. I already explained the chaser set.
In general, these are fashion armors. Not combat.

These are the best armors in the game, hands down. Everyone else here can say otherwise, but if you wanted a true maxed out end-game set, this is the way to go.

Of course it is. The question is, do you have the resources (enchants, NX, reforges) to make it the end-game set?
I haven't seen a person that fits the criteria in NA server.

It'd actually only marginally better depending on rolls. The enhancements are nothing new and can be gotten on things for a fraction of the cost. Th b hafel slayer set doesn't even have the smash enhancement effect iirc so Thames is better in that sense anyways. Langhuris chased set only has att speed enhancement which can be gotten on chinese dragon armor. The only thing ur really getting is extra defensive stats which u might not even get of its a bad roll anyways. And enchant wise encore champion gamyu still beats it. In the end its really not worth the cost, however that shouldn't stop players from making it if they feel it really is better for them, but to say its better hands down is subjective to the player and the rolls on the armor itself.

If you are endgame and have nothing else to spend your money on, then you should get a set of these armors. But you must realize that the rolls from crafting them can and prob will troll you.

I'm hunting white drag every now and then, since I want the Languhiris Circlet for the M-Att.
