I'm back.~

  Hey everyone, the new and improved Episkey is back!
  
  I've been gone for about ... 4 months?
  I just got permanent access to a computer yesterday, so I decided that now would be an appropriate time to come back to Mabinogi and Mabination.
  
  It's been one of those weird cases of life becoming really hectic, I thought I would be gone for 2 weeks. Then that became two months, but I came back on Skype for a short time - to only vanish again. But I have returned now! So, I'm trying to get back into Mabinogi - I vanished right before the Merlin update ... I guess my dreams of being a Master Mage will actually come true?
  
  (LOL NOPE 1k total level)
  
  Anyway - here's a bit of a short synopsis of what happened:
  
  - Told mother and sister that I was gay, my mother wasn't happy about it at first but quickly became supportive. My younger sister was totally fine with it. I didn't tell my father because I was really worried about how he would react, so I kept it quiet.
  
  - Took an entire month to do research about LGBT topics, I went super scholar mode. :llama_cool:
  
  - I get [S]branded as a heretic[/S] banned from volunteering/ministering at the church I was currently attending, which causes me to investigate new churches around the area.
  
  - I had the sudden desire to move back to New York in order to continue my education and make a new life for myself.
  
  - I move to New York with my granduncle that were willing to have me stay with them for a while.
  
  - Everything was fine for 3 weeks, until my granduncle gave me a one-week notice to leave his apartment. He called my father, stating that he didn't want me to live there anymore - while also mentioning to my father that he thought that I was gay.
  
  - My father then proceeds to ask my mother and sister if it was true and instead of denying it, my sister said - "Yeah. So what?"
  
  - I have to explain everything to my dad over the phone instead of a nice long letter, which I had originally planned. My father only speaks Spanish, so it was a bit difficult to explain all of this to him on the spot - in Spanish. I'm pretty proficient in speaking Spanish, but I'm not THAT good.
  
  - My father surprisingly becomes accepting of my sexual orientation, even more quickly than my mother.
  
  - I move out of my granduncle's apartment to my grandmother's apartment in New Jersey.
  
  - Now I'm trying to find a job and a way to get back into school in the Summer. Slow and painful process, but I have learned a lot.
  
  
  So - yeah, I'm basically stranded in New Jersey. At least I have family members that hopefully won't kick me out [S]it wouldn't surprise me[/S].

  I hope I can continue with my studies too ... suddenly having to move out of New York really threw a wrench into my plans for attending the Spring semester.
  
  Not cool. But I'm still young-ish. If I keep on going at a good pace, I'll get my B.S in two years.

  I find this ironic considering I remember you saying being gay was a horrible, bad thing and you shouldn't be.

  I still do, I just have to find a new church. It's not like I've abandoned the basic principles of my faith, but I had to do a serious investigation about myself and what exactly I was believing.
  
  I went to New York today, went to a very enjoyable church service. [S]Cried throughout the entire service.[/S] 50% of it was my allergies.

  I'm pretty sure I never said that being gay was a "was a horrible, bad thing and you shouldn't be", considering this is like my forth time mentioning that I was gay ever since the Mabiguru days. The only difference now is that I now came out to my family members.
  
  I tried to be careful when talking about LGBT topics, but I'm sure that I probably said some things that weren't true. So, in case I did say or implied anything offensive - you (and everyone else) have my sincerest apologies!

  Believe me, I'm glad too. It makes life a lot easier to deal with, now that I know that my parents at least understand everything.

  Our last conversation I still remember. I left an impact on me.
  
  First and foremost, you are loved!! Second, congratulations for coming out! It must have been difficult, but damn, you are brave and so many people hope to have the courage you had when you did. It's tough now, but I assure you, keep going. It's going to get better.
  
  I didn't know you had come out before or mentioned on here that you were gay, so this is so exciting for me. I feel closer to you now. I'm assuming you understand some of the struggles I've too endured with the whole gay/coming out/accepting myself process. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it.
  
  I live in New York!! You posted this weeks ago, so I didn't notice. Maybe one day we'll get to meet.
  
  
  It's interesting because my boyfriend, Andrew, went through the same thing in his church. He came out because they found out through some photos on my Instagram (nosy religious folk) and they confronted him about it. He didn't deny it, but they kicked him off the worship team and didn't allow him to participate in any of the church activities.
  
  He still goes. Not as often as before, but he still does. To show them that his faith in God has gone unchanged despite the terrible circumstances. I dunno how he does it, but I know it's hard for him. I personally hate those people and that church. Strong, word, I know, but ah man, I can't help it.
  
  We've been going to Hillsong Church since I met him. He's the one who introduced me. They meet in NYC five services on Sunday. They also have a Sunday morning service at Montclair, NJ. It's an amazing church. Really down to earth and modern. Lots of people our ages (well, I'm 24). Dunno how far you are from there though.
