Does anyone here play either Wizard101 or Pirate101 here? I play both, mainly Wizard101 though.
Wizard101-pretty much casting spells, blahblahblah. At high level PvP, there is really no skill, just critical then boom, done. In middle level pvp, there is skill, really hard. They go against puppet teams (a puppet team is a high level with a low level to face middle levels). We are able to beat them. Now questing, there are cheating bosses, break the rules, you are dead meat. In the main place, people go "I need a girl/boy." Also there is a realm where people just go and talk dirty. There are Hall Monitors but I think sometimes they mute innocent people. (I got suspended and muted by a hall monitor before lol). There are rule breakers and Kingsisle (company) pretty much does nothing most of the time.
Pirate101-less options than Wizard101 but more fun. Really for questing, you can battle ships and enemies. You can have companions. Right now Pirate101 only has practice pvp and not rank pvp.

Tried it, got lost during a quest and gave up. Honestly there are better games out there.

Too subscription-based to warrant playing. They're making it very obvious that the game is merely a business, and the intended audience(kids with no credit cards) are pressured into asking their parents for money, really. From the small amount of time playing the game when Wizard 101 was in beta, I have to say Toontown was better, in more ways than one.

unless they let you get higher than level 10 and actually able to do stuff, then fuck no

They feel too much like Toon Town rip-offs to me. Not that that's a bad thing... they're just not exactly my cup of tea. I loved Toon Town while I was in my depressing youth, though.

I noticed the similarity to Toontown at first, since I played Toontown excessively as a child, but I felt Wizard 101 had a distinct charm.
I enjoyed Wizard 101 for a couple of reasons:
- Despite it looking somewhat "childish", the storyline actually is pretty dark and interesting
- There's a wide variety of spell schools and items, meaning character customization is key
- I'm a sucker for turn based combat. And it's co-operative combat.
- The environments were very interesting to me
Ultimately what stopped me from continuing was being re-introduced to Mabinogi and Wizard 101's subscription fees.
Although I recall they had a $60 for an entire year sale one time? That was a really nice deal.
