We told you right off the bat it has more to offer than that, but you dismissed it. I get you don't want to be seen playing a "sexed up" game, but I am just tired of people talking about sex appeal in video games as if they are virgin mary and all this is degrading to them. Happens whenever a MMO comes out with skimpy female armor, happens whenever a female LoL champion / skin comes out, if its revealing then people cry how could riot be so demeaning to women, if it's not then they act like they are relieved... Am I missing something here? If every guy on the internet is such gentlemen, how did Tomb Raider sold so well? How come the most downloaded skyrim mods are all skimpy armor mods?
Yes, you're missing something, though I'm not sure
how you're missing it.
I'm not saying that every guy on the internet is a gentleman. I'm not saying that sex doesn't sell. I
did say quite specifically that skimpy armor is so standard that I don't care so long as it isn't forced on me. I also explained my aversion to B&S, but won't recap that again. Also, besides the combat system, which is an experience I can largely get elsewhere, and the story, of which there are many others just as interesting, what is the draw to B&S? Normally, good gameplay and good story is enough, but since I don't have time to play all of the games that qualify as such, I'm not going to bother with one such title that also comes with a stack of cons.
Hearing what you say, I can just imagine this huge amount of people on the internet with the exact same mindset passing off a great game like this, and maybe other game because they couldn't look past the graphics. Let me ask you this then, if you refuse to try this game out, how would you know if it has more to offer? You say you aren't being shallow because you welcome depth, that's good, but you don't want to look for those depth, you want them handed to you before you even try to look, how is that different from girls who wouldn't date some guy until she knows he has money or other appealing assets?
The graphics are not technically the issue here.
This is the issue. There's a difference between saying 'this game lacks pixels' and 'this game is a constant reminder that the world thinks it can control my wallet through my pants.' Some exaggeration is totally expected, but exaggerating the normal exaggerations is annoying.
That renders the 'depth' issue null and void. B&S could be the best game ever and it would do nothing to alleviate the shameless penis grabbing art style. Since I'm confident that it is not, in fact, leaps and bounds better than other games, I feel safe in my decision not to bother with it. Though, if it's free, I'll likely give it a few hours so that I get a feel for the design, I won't be playing it for pleasure.
This is the equivalent of a girl not dating a guy who smokes because she can't stand the smell of smoke. Doesn't matter if he's otherwise a saint, if they can't inhabit the same space without her coughing her lungs out, it's not going to end well.

I just want to point out, the "sex appeal" that bns has has very little sway on why it might not make it to the US. The reasoning behind why it might not make it here is because the NA game market isn't very profitable and a game like bns won't be enough of an investment to make it worth the trouble of setting everything up. If anything the sex appeal would only help the game flourish by bringing in males that just want to gawk at their screens.
That's more or less my point. It's more expensive to bring over than other games because of the extra set-up costs incurred by censoring nudity, so I doubt anyone will try since it's not some super unique, super popular, money printing powerhouse.

It's not Juno's problem per say, it's the accumulation of hypocrisy that's getting on my nerve. I honestly consider B&S one of the best MMOs I've played, it's just infuriating seeing it being categorized into mindless sex appeal game just because of its aesthetic. People think objecting sex appeal in video game make them deeper, it doesn't, they are still shallow, just for the opposite reason.
There's really not enough room in my mouth for all the words you're putting there.
I never said B&S was a mindless sex appeal game. I said that it was a game that pushed sex appeal into the grotesque area and was thus unappealing to me. That isn't, in any way, a judgement of gameplay.
