Synthesis not destroying anything upon failure?

  This has been happening for a while, to be honest I'm not sure why I haven't seen a thread about it, but that's why I'm making one!
  
  Anyway, sometime not too long ago synthesis stopped taking items away upon failure for everything. This is an unintended glitch right? I didn't see any update notes about this or anything
  
  If this is unintended, it's kind of a big problem

  Well it may be a little selfish of me but I'll admit it; the reason I want it fixed is because I wasted the time getting synth ranked to make money off of the wells, and with this happening, dye prices will go down even more than they already were going to. If it's intentional then I'll just get over it very fast, but if it's a glitch they should probably do something about it haha

  Idk a few days ago, like after dakota got banned for his ban reason. A few friends think it has something to do with the potential patching of that exploit, but that's just speculation. The first time I noticed it was when the dorren's request daily was the daily for the day.
  
  I think I was a bit too vague with the title, and you thought I meant always. If that's the case I believe I fixed it.

  In KR there was a glitch that let you create Festival Food without consuming dishes. That being said, people abused it with Dragon Foods. So, they fixed it and everyone was:
  

  
  
  • If you barely abused it/accidentally did it, you got a three month ban. (Keep in mind it is not easy to make KR accounts since you need a social number.)
    
  • If you abused it a good amount, you got a 1 year ban.
    
  • If you abused it a lot and used it for major stat gain (such as before you struggled in advanced and after you were soloing every elite mission), you got a three year ban and a character deletion. (Yes they can tell what you've been doing.)
    

  
  Hundreds of players, in waves, got banned. Just a warning before anyone here goes out synth glitching.

  Hopefully it's nothing that serious. I mean it's not like we can guarantee 100% success rates like you can just avoid festival food.
  
  In any case over the past two days I've synthed almost 800 ingots without a single fail, Nexon will never get me.

  Edit: Also, perma IP bans are laughable, as IPs are not a unique Identifier.

  Probably not. Unless they give some kind of official notice, it would be incredibly unfair to ban for something like this. Synthesis can't really even net you anything good as far as I know.

  Well I'm not familiar with what festival foods are, but synthesis seems to be a little different and the abuse can be determined from what you synth repeatedly at low ranks (if anyone abuses this). I don't think it's very fair to ban people over something like this, it should just be fixed. An accidental abuse = a 3 month ban? That's pretty insane. I don't think nexon na would put players through something like that

  While yes, this is an abusable glitch, and other abusable glitches have been removed/censored/etc in the past by moderators such as myself, this one is not game-breaking (in that nothing of extreme value can be obtained from synthesis by way of this glitch or the skill in general really) and will likely be fixed very soon (obvious glitch is obvious after all). I don't think anyone wants nation to close its eyes and cover its ears with every minor bug that comes out way and this is one of them. The worst this bug can do is make dorrens request ezmode for anyone, which isn't much of an accomplishment these days lol
  
  Again, I'm letting this one fly because it's going to effect anything or anyone in a huge way, but that doesn't mean let's make topics on every glitch every time something happens and throw it all in everyones faces.

  You can close it/delete it or whatever if you want. I had no idea I was breaking any rules or anything, and this was actually more of a question to see if it was intentional or a glitch, like in KR they made it function this way since synthesis sucks or something and it was just a hidden update

  No worries, you aren't breaking rules on this one. It's a pretty well known bug at this point, I see no point in trying to pretend it doesn't exist. It's just that though, a bug. It'll be fixed eventually :)
