so.... after auto adjusting my settings for dragon, i no longer see my flame mare's flame effects, nor any other significant effect to name(fireball, other pet aoes).
and i've spent half an hour messing around in the options menu and nothing's working.

Performance Tab > Uncheck Mini Effects.
