So as many of you might (or might not know) Fred Phelps to former leader of the WBC has passed away and the reaction I've seen from most people are just disgusting.
This all happened when some band posted a status saying that they have a new shirt in stock for sale yesterday. This is just bad taste while people in the comments were saying comments like "nice" and "fully agree" it was nice to know people were against this type hypocrisy.
So recently about iunno an hour or two ago the band's frontman, Jeremy posted a status saying something along the lines of "Yes, we know it was in bad taste, but the guy is a dick who brought even more grief to people who were already suffering so in my eyes it's okay" and once again the comments section more of the same, but this time around more people are calling them hypocrites.
And other people are doing the same.
Saying "B-but guys it's Fred Phelps! Fred fucking Phelps!" isn't a valid excuse and celebrating someone's death is the type of crap that WBC actively practices. I'm not glad he's gone, but I am glad that he can't bring any more grief to already grieving families and the two are very different.
What's your opinion on this?
Sorry for the mini-rant guys, it just annoys me that people are acting the same way he would and think they're better.
