  Going off of Pokemon White 2 vs Black 2 White 2 had regions like sand and forest where in Black 2 everything was city

  X and Y has subtle differences in pokemon, different Mega evolution stones (i.e Houndoomite & Manetrite) and different end of the plot related to the two main legendary pokemon.

  Funny thing about that.
  
  Pokemon X had Manetrite but to get a Manetric you need Pokemon Y (Electrike is only found in Pokemon Y)
  Same situation goes for Houndoom where Y has the stone but X has the pokemon.
  
  They basically are forcing you to either have both or trade with someone who has the other if you want to get the mega evolution of both those pokes

  and that's your own self entitled opinion. One that I've always disagreed and have been disgusted by. I love my Delphox and wouldn't have picked any other starter. I find Delphox to be so flippin cute! When Delphox whips out it's stick to lay down a physic or fire attack I go SQUEE!
  
  That could also be that I would much rather have wizards, sages, witch's and sorcerer's (I LOVE MAGIC!) rather than silly Ninja's (which are cool granted but overrated)
  
  most of the time my Sylveon makes short work of Greninja. (That depends on Protean of course, but with a stalling Sylveon, Greninja doesn't stand much of a chance)
