Screwed for A Week?

My first week back into mabinogi and I rebirthed today, hopefully to pick up the tailoring talent so I can speed through weaving a lot faster. I did rebirth but I had an ace card so I ended up having to pick one of the three...I picked Vate because there wasn't anything else close to my skills to pick. Does this mean I'm stick without my tailoring XP for a whole week? Can someone explain the purpose of these Ace talents to me? Are there none for production?

Technically, there will be one for "cooking" with the Master Chef release, but yes-- as you predict, there are no "Ace" talent for tailoring.

On the other hand, note that when you used the Ace card, you could choose "Ace" or "Milletian". The latter allows you to choose the classic talents which includes tailoring, if you didn't want to rebirth into an Ace talent. Keep that for future reference.

So yes, you're going to be stuck without Tailoring for this week. If you want to do a paid rebirth, make sure you click on the "Milletian" (or classic... Can't remember exactly what the word is) when Nao asks for your new talent, and select Tailoring from the window that pops up.

On the bright side, you got the Vate skills, which are pretty awesome if you ask me...

She's right. I only came back a couple of weeks ago myself, and I picked the Merlin one primarily because I wanted to finish ranking my Thunder. As a bonus for choosing Merlin, I automatically learned Meteor Strike, whereas it would have been pretty tough to otherwise. Its criteria is to have R1 Fireball and R1 Fire mastery; I have novice in mastery, and I haven't learned Fireball lD But yeah, it isn't like you *completely* missed out.

Besides, we're almost guaranteed to have that triple AP event this upcoming weekend, so you might want to consider withholding your level-ups.

I can see how it is interesting but I'm not an alchemist so I can't use any of the skills... :/ But at least this week is all about the AP, doesn't feel that much wasted. My stats will be nice at the end of the day.
