Peter Jackson really blew cinema out of the water with his direction in LotR.
And considered when Star Wars came out, it was incredibly ahead of its time. Even relevant today. And I must say that even though the CGI has improved so much with 1~3, they were just terrible movies in general.
It doesn't have to appeal to you, but there are some themes and production values that are objectively really good. Understanding it helps you appreciate the movies.
