Hero/Elite Hero Cards. Worth it or not?

  I notice they give some pretty nice benefits (like pre-ranked skills...HUGE plus for me. I don't want to go back to the nightmare that is acquiring Int magic or ranking MK/Composing) for a mere $20, but the only thing putting me off is that you need a character that is already 1k/2k. I'm honestly getting bored of my main, who is an Alchemist, and he's sitting at 501 ttl. Given the game's current leveling pace, I don't have the patience to even reach 1k. Usually, I stop grinding at Lv 70-75 ish because I feel like dailies aren't worth it anymore past that point, and I can't seem to find an MA party. (I don't even know what MA is or how to get there anyway >.>)
  
  So yeah...should I grind my a** off for those cards or is it better to just buy a few Ace cards if I want to play something different?

  If you haven't learn any fireball, thunder and ice spear, also Hail. A magic hero card do worth it, since buying/getting these skills do take some time. I normal just get to lv 80ish in a week of time by doing HM dailies (which give you 3APs per day), Saga mission (2.5AP per day). Also rafting for some expl. exp. So I can get around 140APs every rebirth.
  
  For MA, people usually looking for player who is 2000+ in ttl. So unless you know some high level player willing to put you in their party. You got no chance doing it before reaching ttl maybe 1500? And the place for it is called Avon, just wiki it and you will know how to get there.

  No. (Hero character cards can only be used to create a new character.) Having an elite hero card actually saves you a lot more money in the long run depending on the cost of the pages on your server. At the very least, it saves you a lot of time.

  It does not work on existing characters. Ace cards only give you the novice ranks of Hero skills. Hero cards give you mid to high ranks in their related talent skills, but can only be used to make a new character.
  
  @OP: Leveling gets faster as you get stronger. And of course, improving your talents gives you access to a higher difficulty with better gold/item/exp rewards. Be patient. 70-75 for you will eventually become 110-120. Are you also doing exploration levels? Because those would help you immensely early on as they're easier to come by. And are you a freebirther or a weekly rebirther? Do you have your transformations? Have you completed Generation 13? Avon is the place where you do MA (requiring the Avon Feather to teleport to Avon). Of course, at your current strength you might find MA to be more than a bit much currently.
  
  Ace cards will only be worthwhile if you can take advantage of their benefits with a decent leveling speed or an overabundance of AP. Aside from that, their only real benefit is cutting out the middleman for acquiring the skills associated with a specific Hero Talent.
  
  Hero/Elite Hero cards are a decent start-up but they're less for a fresh start and more for bored veterans who can already supply the new characters with decent gear. As you said yourself, the major downside is all the other skills you would have to re-rank on that new character in exchange for only a small handful of decently ranked skills.
  
  Are Ace/Hero cards worth it for your current situation? I'd say no. Instead, endure alchemy for awhile longer to gather AP you would otherwise use for branching into a new skillset. Between base/expl. levels, saga dailies and AP events, the next base 500 levels would very much give you the ability to switch it up without starting over. If you try to start fresh now, you'll only end up feeling the same way with the new skillset when you realize all the skills you're missing from your current main that you took for granted.

But since your total is low enough you could easily get to the point that elite hero cards are at before reaching 2k. Alot of the skills that elite hero's already have ranked are lackluster and easy to rank on ur own. The biggest issue u would have is getting the actual skills manually. Also the biggest thing I find elite hero cards give is an additional starting 800 unused ap. But honestly for u ur still early game I think u should be fine with the char ur currently using.

  I don't want to Hijack the thread but is there more information on MA/Avon? Is that the best place to level up currently? I'm around TL 900 and looking for something better than shadow missions...for money also. (Warrior build btw)

  Not worth it. The characters will be very weak for that level.
  Just level your character.

  Yeah, this is one of the main reason why I would get one. I have an old character that has Ice Spear and Thunder and those were a nightmare to get. I don't use him anymore because I did the mistake of branching out too early. Now he's weaker than my new Alch main.

  Yeah, like I said in my first post, I have to grind to 1k or 2k to even use a card, and that's why I think it's not worth it.

  Like samsun2024 said, it would be difficult to find a party at your current level. People usually look for 2k+ because you need decent damage, and/or gear, and/or reforges to be useful, and sub 1k characters usually are lacking in all of the above. You could always try with some friends or guildies and see how it goes.
