Subjective Archery Aim Rate Increase With Mini Effects Off

  I went to a dragon raid earlier tonight, and said "ok" to optimization effects. I've rafted a few times since then and it seems like my aim rate with ranged attack is noticeable higher (to where I can shot of god almost every mob with normal range) and crash shot seems to tick up a little faster. I've read on Nation that the true aim rate of the server versus what's shown on the client is lower, so perhaps (just guessing) checking on mini effects decreases the server-client connection time lapse.
  
  I haven't played on my human archer in a long time, so I don't recall if there are the smoke trails of arrows that elves have. Those smoke trails being gone now might be smoothing everything out.
  
  Regardless, I seem to be hitting a lot more with this setting.

  Your client is involved in sending and confirming your commands in response to what the server says is and is not possible, so the less your client is lagging, the faster data will get back and forth (in that no lag has no effect while lag has a detrimental effect).
  
  If ticking the effects made the rafting framerate higher then yeah this is perfectly plausible, and could maybe even be a suggestion to other people depending on their original and new framerates (as mabi seems to poll for input at it's draw rate like a lot of old games so it would make their experience smoother anyways).

  Less lag, better archery. Since the dawn of Erinn it has been this way I believe. Then again less lag, better every skillset but with archery you actively see %'s and such.

  As Rydian pointed out, a higher frame rate means you are more likely to hit a given enemy. Meaning if you have mini-effects on, you'll lag less. Decreasing your field of vision helps as well but you'll experience sharper drops in frame rate when you load a shitload of clustered enemies when you move position (see Nature Reserve - District 2). Recording videos also interferes with the aiming packets too.
  
  If you mod, removing AOE pet summon animations and font changing helps quite substantially as well. Minimization under tiara (removes other player's avatars entirely save for their weapons) can help though I personally find it to be more of a detriment to party play versus it being a distinct advantage.
  
  tl;dr Lag desynchronizes the aiming packet(s) sent to the server wherein the less you lag, the more the aim percentage you see approaches the value that's sent to the server.

  You fire faster under the influence of the attack speed set. That's about it.

  This has opened door to a new world of archery for me.
  Not only it gives better FPS, I think I really do land more arrows....
  
  Problem is, I can't see some monsters (such as a wisp or a wisp and maybe a wisp.)

  Glad it helps! You can always use tab (default option) to select a new target if you cant see it clearly, which also allows for one-handed archery.
