Just got back into mabi, looking for advice

I haven't really logged onto mabi in 1-2 years, so I'm wondering how the meta has shifted.

I have R1 everything range and everything combat, with a half assed puppetry and a lot of life skills. Is range still good? Is melee still good? What should I work towards to tackle the end-game content?

What's the new latest and greatest equipment/enchants to work towards?

Nothing really changed except for a few features. Range now requires a large amount of reforges to be "good" (although I think an r5 HLB is good enough), and apparently, Tarlach is a "dead server" now.

Hmm, I'm currently sitting on a R5 Ice 6 HLB from back before I quit, looking into forging a demonic bow. It seems like puppets are the current flavor as I see everybody using them and doing pretty well for themselves.

Yeah, sad to hear that Tarlach is a ghost town now, it was the most populated server back when I started out.

Puppetry is going strong, except you really need stats to back it up. Same with guns.
Tarlach isn't TOO isolated... I think...
It's just that people tend to stick to cliques instead of being social, so it just seems dead >.>;

I mean, the only "social" interaction I get is running dailies with randoms o3o;

Hmm, is it just because of the critical rate? Because it seems like the demonic has a higher max (also it looks cool as f).

If you feel lonely, you should come join our guild! I've been a part of Pinnacle for years now, and every time I quit and come back they're still there ahaha.

The slightly higher max doesnt excuse the ridiculous repair costs. Its more economic to stick with HLB.

Everything's good at the moment. Lance got even better after the protection rework and piercing rework. Range will give you the highest DPS, assuming that you get the bhafel combo with elemental and magnum shot reforges.

As for gears, just go max damage gears. Covering Oblivions is a pretty easy way (except for gloves, expansive/steel needle obviously being the better choice), or you could get new enchants that are better like Solo, Difficult (r4 suffix), champion, encore, etc.
