  But even you have to agree using Dark Souls as a synonym for hard just shows how much of a casual a person is, especially when they're talking about a game that was made before than Demon Souls (La-Mulana)

  people (reviewers too) seem to say this about a lot of games now and the games they compare are nowhere near the same genre or style of game.

  Demon's souls was my favorite of them all. I never got into dark souls. I was surprised it became so mainstream. People call it challenging and hard and then when they beat it though they just brag and brag even though 80 percent of the people who played it used the wiki (including myself). None of the souls games are hard once you experience something in it once at least and then its no longer a mystery to you and the game can no longer surprise you with it.
