So I recently acquired RK gauntlets/boots and have finally r1/3-lined them both, but unfortunately they're naked. I have a rough idea of what I should be aiming to put on them, but I could definitely use some advice/recommendations.

Oh, I main Fighter and minor Magic for the most part. I'd prefer to have as much Max as possible though.

solo viscount/ oblivion viscount, the latter being the cheaper less risky version.

Gauntlets:
Cheap version: Oblivion Elegant
Slightly more expensive version: Expansive Elegant (Just more crit than Oblivion)
Even more expensive version: Solo Elegant (Expensive to enchant too)

Boots:
Super Cheap Version: Diamond Viscount/Hawk
Cheap version: Oblivion Viscount/Hawk
Expensive version: Solo Viscount/Hawk

I didn't put elegant because swarming is easy enough to get if u camp the golems and completely outclassed elegant in the end.

I'd agree with Nui for the most part, if you use any magic you might want to pass on elegant since it takes away mana and just go for damage with swarming. If you were lucky/hardcore you could spring for Steel Needle as your glove prefix (peaca int drop, extreme rare). A cheap/safe alternative to swarming might be wild boar (rank c enchant) that can do up to 3 max (vs 4 from swarming) but it's a roll of 1-3 so it may take a few tries.

For the boots, I wouldn't even bother with hawk. You may as well just spring for viscount, maybe Butterfly if you like to use mana shield (7-12 max dmg roll, requires mana shield active). Alternatively if you are hardcore/lucky, Symbolic gives 10 max and 5 crit but drops from Scath Caverns Lord (extreme rare).
