I know I'm extremely late to this but:

I've been wondering about this for awhile now actually and was finally bored enough to actually look into it. Experienced this in my trip to Phoenix a couple weeks ago, and was very pleased to know that I could listen to my music for the entire flight :bath:
What's your guys thoughts on the FCC regulations on phone calls during flight (I don't really get many phone calls so that's not a very critical issue for me) and on the whole electronic devices interfering with airplanes.

No thanks. People who loudly talk on the phone on public transit are annoying enough. Imagine being stuck on a plane with hundreds of these people for hours. Luckily, there is no cell coverage in the air. :) Sadly, people can still use VoIP based calls through the plane's wifi. :(

Airplanes could implement rules to prevent such disruptive behavior similar to how greyhound buses forbid people from talking loudly and carrying loud conversations or have music blaring.

This is likely an overstatement on my part but it'll probably make the US workforce a bit more productive! That being said, it will also enable obnoxious people to be even more obnoxious... :[

Now it's all good I thought it was kind of silly that there were ever restrictions on things like offline e-readers or music players
