Getting a free 3DS case directly from nintendo

  dropped my 3DS while packing the car it has some deep scratches on the right side luckily still works and no damage was done to either screen

  But... those cost more money. Splat got a Club Nintendo Reward, for doing surveys and stuff with the games he bought.
  And you should really get an Aluminum case. Hides dust, grime, and scratches better than a clear one.

  Green Aluminum Metal Protector - The Aluminum one I suggested. Scroll down the page to the "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought" list for more colors.
  
  Reason I suggest the Aluminum one over the plastic one is because any type of plastic case like that will get scratched, get gunk behind it, and look awful pretty quick.
  The disadvantage of the Aluminum one is that the top cover (what covers the top of the console) is hard to put on, so you won't be removing it any time soon. But, I've had mine since about September and it still looks about good as new.

  I see. Yeah, get a Clear Case for it. Clicky. Comes with a Screen Protector too, which is pretty important aswell.
