So I just bought a budget mic (10 dollars) lol. I got the Gamecom 307 and I'm having difficulties setting it up. It's my first headset.
No sound is going through the mic, everything it plugged in correctly though.
And sound is not playing from Mabinogi but from Youtube it's fine.
Any help?
I need it asap ;^;
EDIT:
fixed my sounds for Mabi. Restarted the client.
Just need help with mic now :L

Seems like there was a reason it was on sale....
Just to clarify, it is a separate mic correct?

It was a one day easter sale LOL The price reverted back to its original. And uhm, by separate mic, what do you mean by that?

It doesn't look half bad.
Control panel > Sounds > Recording (it's a tab) > find your microphone, right click and set as default device (may have to enable first)
Double click it > Listen (tab) > click Listen to this device > click Apply on the bottom > talk into your mic and see if you can hear yourself > Levels (tab) > adjust the sensitivity so you can hear your voice clearly but so that it doesn't pick up background noise > uncheck Listen to this device and press OK when you're done.

Ahh, i thought that it was a mic and earphones separate. I got a bit confused with the wording I guess. Do wat mentos said for now.

lol @ people judging based on just the price tag. :(
For the record, the mic and headphones are actually separate devices, each with an analog plug. :P So you shouldn't need to install or do anything other than make sure that your motherboard audio driver is installed and working (which it should be already) and that your recording is using the correct input (mic jack). o/

Hurray~ I've managed to fix my issue. I kept messing around with the settings and eventually, it started working. Whoop whoop.
Headset actually works pretty well for 10 dollars.
@mentos I've actually tried that before but it kept saying the mic was muted.
Was strange since my mic was not muted at all.
Anywho- the problem is no longer a problem. So I'm happy ;D

My statement was more of a followup joke from what mentos said :C
