So I'm wondering certain parts of a weapon such as the blade of a War Sword can't be dyed normally. Wiki also said that Spirit Dyes can dye parts that normally can not be dyed. Does this imply that it is possible to have a flashy red/black or gold flashy War Sword blade if I simply ego it first and then dye it with spirit dyes?
Just wondering out of curiosity and thanks in advance!

I've seen people who've dyed the wood on their highlander long bows flashy colors, and I'm pretty sure they were their egos. So my assumption for your question is a yes.

There are fixed/flashy metal dyes that you can use on several weapons, which includes the HLB. Doesn't necessarily have to be an ego'd HLB to be dyed. Both parts of that bow use metal dyes.
And OP, you can definitely do that. However, there is no flashy red-black spirit dye unless you want flashy red OR flashy black.
Alternatively, the wiki lists the dyeable parts of the war sword:

As you can see for part B, you can dye it with a regular/fixed dye ampoule.
For part C, you can either use a regular metal dye ampoule, or a fixed/flashy one. (Red-black flashy fixed metal dyes are available, unlike the spirit dye which is only red flashy or black flashy.)
The blade should also be dyeable after it is ego'd. Not sure if the flashy can be smack-in-your-face easy to see.[/FONT]

I see. I might just go ahead and try it out. Might settle with trying out a flashy red. Thanks!
