Double Posting

  no idea what's causing it but a lot of threads have people accidentally double posting
  it even happened to me
  
  all i can say is that at least we can delete our posts in some of the sections

  How odd. I know I tend to post a few double posts here or there, especially when posting on my phone. While I really don't have the knowledge to say what is causing it for others though, I can say if anyone double posts (specifically outside of bean rua) and cannot remove said post, feel free to report your own or someone else's double post (please state that the reason for which you are reporting is for double posting, stating why you are reporting a post is always important) so that we may remedy the problem and keep our forums pretty.

  Usually happens when there's network latency, when it happens to a couple of people it's usually on their side but right now it's at the datacenter. Not much to do but wait it out.

  2. The editor's interface opens with new options. Here, choose "Delete".

  3. The interface expands and gives you new options. Here, tick the option "Delete Message" and enter a reason for deletion. After that, click "Delete Post" to confirm.

  ^ This saves the Moderators some work and it is just as much effort as reporting your own post to have us delete it.
  (People used to do that, although it's a lot less now)

  Did a complete server reboot + database optimization, if it's still double posting then it's definitely a network latency problem.
  
  My poor uptime is reset to 0 :(
  That's like e-penis for us server owners.

  After going through everything again to clean up a few more, it appears to only affect certain people.
  
  Although the double posts have stopped past a certain point, so I suppose the issue is mostly resolved for now.

  You don't really have to. Although preferred, it's optional and only moderators are able to see it anyway.
  Just don't use it too randomly delete your own posts all the time. We all make mistakes, but not THAT many.
