Upgrade path of Savage

I am thinking the following paths.

Fire wand:
Savage wand special upgrade -> Acceleration 1+2 -> CC +4 -> Artisan upgrade

Ice wand:
Savage wand special upgrade -> Acceleration 1+2+3 -> Artisan upgrade

Is the acceleration worth it or I should go for more MA upgrade ?
