My mother board is an Asus Maximus Formula IV and right as it starts I hear 2 short beeps and for some reason there is no display on my monitor & my keyboard and mouse aren't being picked up either. I can't find any info on what 2 short beeps by itself means any suggestions while I try trouble shooting?

You made sure the RAM modules are inserted correctly?
Try booting your computer without the RAM to see if it beeps, then try 1 module, then 2.

I calles asus and told me that my ram wasn't coming up on their compatibility chart and that It's a problem with my ram not my graphics card.
-the first time I called this guy told me that my graphics card and ram were both having issues -which scared me-
I have a pair of g.skill trident x series 16gb 2133 (pc3 17000) (8x12)
I started it up with no ram and it still made the two beeps sound so I'm guessing that it really is just my ram / any idea on where to find a list of compatible ram with my motherboard? I'd hate to blow another hundred on ram that aren't compatible with it.

Just got home from work and I don't have time to look into this in detail but off the top of my head--your board has the "MemOk" feature which automatically selects a compatible RAM setting so that you can boot. It should be a small red button in the corner of the board. I think you need to just press it while the computer is on and not booting. You should then do a BIOS update: Grab the latest BIOS file, put it on a USB stick, enter the BIOS settings in your computer and update it. Once your new BIOS is updated, go back into the BIOS settings and reset them to defaults, just in case. BIOS updates often improve memory comparability incrementally.
This is why I don't recommend buying flashy fast RAM--as I once stated in a thread, all it really does is add cost and incompatibility issues! o/ Though I suppose you could have gotten a good deal for it!
Best of luck. Now I have to go prepare dinner and whatnot. I suspect you'll be fine from this point on, though. o/

Yeah I was going to go for a pair of corsairs that was recommended to me but then these poped up on a massive sale that pretty much sold em to me for 70 dollars cheaper and now this happens ;x imma check something
Also already tried that still not working. And I cant get any signal for a display on my monitor when i hook it up to the pc because I dont have any ram so I cant even access the bios

You might need to hold the memok button for a few seconds for it to work.

And the stuff I mentioned about upgrading the BIOS is for after you get MemOk to work... assuming it works. Post a pic of how the RAM is inserted.. and all the motherboard connections, for that matter.
EDIT: Another thing you can try is testing one stick at a time. Test each stick in all 4 slots in combination with the MemOK if you have to.

Yeah I tried that. Didnt work out at all :c but yeah I cant even get a display signal from the thing to my screen. I'm hoping that grabbing new ram will just fix it.

Ah, that's why.
Usually with RAM above 1600 (or 1866 in some cases) it needs to be overclocked in the bios.
Or something I'm not familiar with RAM overclock.
If you want you could buy a cheap RAM and use that to overclock the other RAM so you can get your 2133 sticks working.

Got it to work c:. The ram was compatible those asus guys that helped me didn't know what they were talking about. I just derped and realized that I had skipped a step and didnt connect my 8pin connecter from my power supply on to my mother board. "thought the 24pin was enough to power the board"
Ran into some trouble again but figured it out eventually with some help. Ty for the help guys :D
:llama_flower: No lag what so over yo *_*

Nice to know it worked out. Remember you have 16gb of ram so use ramdisk it's pretty much essential xd
