Can Avast or other programs remove programs?

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. I downloaded Bittorrent just for shits and giggles to download somthing (I acctually had a torrent downloading (not very much, almost no supply), however when i went to go and restart my client for it. It did not appear on my list, when i went to search, was not on my desktop, and it was definatly not in my Uninstall section.

I just don't understand. I know Malwarebytes/ Avast is blocking a shittton when it was active. I dont know if it removed it or not?

It could, but it wouldn't. You probably just forgot what it was called. Look for ÂµTorrent, not BitTorrent in your programs list. Assuming you have ÂµTorrent, of course. x)

if you didn't install whatever you downloaded, of course it won't be in the uninstall directory.
course, you could use Fix It by microsoft to help you uninstall a program
it forces the program to uninstall and also fixes registry errors

No i already thought about uTorrent, and it didnt go around for it. Also using 'Run' i could only find the setup .exe.
A guildie thinks Avast Sandbox or somthing pulled out its main functions or somthing and didn't acctually install it.
