Need some serious help with kitchen dungeon

Hey guys,

I have recently started ranking cooking and it was really easy from rF to r9.
From r9 to r6, I have to do kitchen dungeons for the 3 skill books.
Basically I need 45 bronze, 70 silver and 50 gold "royal food delivery" seals for the three books.
The skill books are NOT tradeable. However, it is possible to trade the delivery seals. The seals can be obtained from the kitchen dungeon and 1 run usually gives you 1~4 seals depending on the difficulty and the "points" you get in the mission.

However, the kitchen dungeon is extremely annoying. First you have 10 enemies to take care of. Their aggro can be difficult without an aoe pet as they can actually pin you down with bolts. Then, you have this crazy npc dude to mess up your combo and splash all the ingredients out of the circle. In addition to those, sewer rat spawns are completely random - you can have 3 spawn at the same time or zero spawn in 1 run. And if the crazy npc splash kills one inside the circle you are pretty much screwed.

I need some serious help on this.

One thing you can do is gather all the mobs right at the start with crisis. Then Glewyas will just hit all of them.

When the kitchen silverwares spawn, immediately kill it. It will likely drop a kitchen knife, which you can use to hit the mobs because this knife has ridiculous splash range and will cut down the mobs protection each hit. The silverwares might spawn once, or twice, or three times. Usually doesn't spawn more than that.

If you somehow can't get the silverwares to drop, then it becomes harder. In this case, when Glewyas is attacking and cornering an ingredient, immediately kill it, otherwise he won't change his aggro and attack anything else, which you'll need him to do since he is cutting down the mobs' prot.
When sewer rats spawn, if you have low rank firebolt, just firebolt it out of the red circle then just kill it. Otherwise, have your pet do it for you.

If you have money, just buy from others.
Otherwise, there's no real way of getting seals besides cooking dungeon, so this is your best bet.
I don't think cooking dungeons are big of a grind, but that's just me.

The dungeon, to me, was always easier if I just buffed myself from here to infinity and beyond.

If you can, have someone with r1 Catering lay you down a feast that boosts Strength and HP. (I like using 10x Vales Fires)
Using that, I could just melee my way through the dungeon, and not worry about dying too much. (the strength bonus really helped my physically weak mage whoop up those enemies.

The cooking knife drops from the tableware at a 100% rate.
The tableware is guaranteed to spawn from the get-go after 2 things have been killed. (After that, it's just a random spawn, like rats and ingredients.)
The cooking knife in the dungeon can be used with a shield like an ordinary one, so that could also help with survivability.

And of course, evasion should prove helpful if those ingredients get REALLY bolt-spammy. Even super low ranks.
Enduring Melody could help too, saving on potions from the increased Defense/Stamina regeneration.

For the rats, try to knock them out of the way of both the circle AND Glewyas. His splash could mess up your attacks.
if multiple rats are spawned, it's safest to not use any WM or strong AoEs that could end up finishing one IN the circle accidentally. (I like single charge firebolts for rats, following up with defense/counter/normal melee to knock them back/preventing them from getting in to a position where they could die while landing in the circle.

Oh and, since it TECHNICALLY is a free-to-get AoE pet, I'd like to mention that the Perseus you can get from completing the Saga EP 1~10, once per character, has an AoE attack that seems to ignore the ingredients super protection, right off the bat. This can be helpful in killing the initial spawns of ingredients.

This might be skill-specific, but I also like using Golden Time -> Elemental Wave -> Frozen Blast to lock up all the ingredients nearby at a 100% rate. It'll keep you from knocking them back, allowing you to combo them over and over, until they thaw or die. And with the super splashy knife, this could be really nice.

Nope. I've had runs where the tableware didn't drop cooking knife at all.
I'd say 99% drop rate.

Adding on, if you have high rank lullaby, you can use this to your advantage as it'll give you free damage for one hit.

Oh also, rank up Tasting.

Each rank of tasting is +1 Point to the final score of the cooking dungeon dish, it seems. (max of +15, max score still being 100)

Another piece of advice: So long as one of the cooking dungeon tools is in your active weapon slot, any attack you do will reduce enemy protection. This includes bolts or switching back to your cookng tool after casting Shock. The bolts are particularly useful because they allow you to focus down single enemies without worrying about your splash from melee.

Glewyas may also be more of a hindrance than a help. Sometimes, it's best to bait him into attacking tableware, which will kill him quickly and give you better control over the dungeon.

And lastly, you don't have to get the recipe orders for the books if you can't get the missions to go your way. You could bypass all of the grief by just using skill training seals. Personally, I consider that a waste of seals, but it's always an option.

Not sure on prices, since I never saw people selling the lists, but as for which recipe...

The dungeon pass for rF ~ rD give List 1s
rC~rA give List 2s
and r9 and r8 give list 3s.

I personally do rD (Sponge Cake) if I need list 1s
rA (Herb Garlic Steak) if I need list 2s
and r9 (Chicken Gratin) for list 3s.
For list 1s and list 2s, rD/rA have the best Lists per minute, over the other recipes in their bracket, but it's not a huge difference.
Both r9 and r8 have the same Lists per minute (0.2 at 90.1~100 points), so I prefer to do Chicken Gratin, since it's the shorter of the two List 3 recipes and, therefore, is slightly less of a time commitment.

If you can't get around it, gathering List 3s yourself will take a while no matter which cooking dungeon you do. (Either 3 list 3s for 15 minutes from Chicken Gratin, or 4 for 20 minutes from Royal Caviar Canape, at best).
Given that you need 50 List 3s of them total for two of Glewyas' cookbooks, that's over 4 hours of mission time total. I... wouldn't do it all in one burst.

If you find you can't kill ingredients quite fast enough, remember this.

50/100 points come from TIME accuracy itself.

I tested this a while back, entered the Fruit Juice recipe, did nothing for 5 minutes, and just hit the big spoon when 5 minutes had passed. Got 50.0 points.
With r1 Tasting that can boost it up +15, so even if you don't kill enough, you can get a minimum of 65/100 just by hitting the big spoon at a good time.
