So I wanted to test if you could recover HP from mobs using fantastic chorus and it seemed to work. . . but I feel that it may work for sheep; by recovering their MP but haven't tested. . .

At about 16 secs is when it recovers some HP, but seems to be much slower for mobs.
Not sure if this has been already out there but wanted to post :skip:

Uhm, that's the mob's natural HP regeneration. Why in the world would our enemies be healed by us? I even checked White Spider and it didn't get healed at all.
And yes, pets are affected, but for some reason you have to be in a party for it to work.

There was a bug some time ago that let you heal mobs while in duel-prep.
It "might" be possible, but yeah.

If it's of that much concern to then I suggest buying a pet and using fantastic chorus in party, sitting it down in the hot springs, or using MP 50 potions from rafting. The pets don't move around either.

^pretty much this. I do this for any gathering pet. Which can include:
Sheep/Black Sheep
Herb Pig
Clover Pig/Gnu
Alpaca
Spiders
I'm sure there's probably others I forgot about but those come to mind.

There are so many sheep in the world, though. So Many Sheep!
Is running them out of mana a serious problem?

It'd be smarter to invest in a wolf pet and learn how to trap sheep, since sheep pets tend to have a summoning time limit.
Plus you'd be able to get extra wool with a partner.
And I guess you could trap Paper Sheep too.

I do it all the time. Infinite wool and spider webs isnt a problem, if you need large amounts of wool spider webs or herbs(hp/mp/stam/gold) in ruari, hit me up! (masazangetsu)

+1 if you're planning to spend nx on a pet.

This post is assuming you meant NPC Animal Sheep rather than pet Sheep because you tried to use an enemy video as proof.
What? NPC Animal gather count is also tied to their MP? I thought that was only true for pets. Has anyone proven this? (Perhaps with a mod that lets you view their status window?)

Unfortunately MP of other monsters/players is not sent to your client at all.
The publicstatupdate packets from the server don't contain it.
