Question regarding Playing Instrument

Hello,

I feel stupid asking this, as the answer is probably very simply.

I currently have Playing Instrument r1, and when I manually "use" the skill (playing the default Maginobi songs, or various scrolls) I usually still sound horrible and make TONS of mistakes. The same goes for playing the piano. I also have Musical Knowledge r1, if that makes any difference.

My question is, how do I NOT suck/sound horrible, especially when playing the piano? Does the scroll I am playing need to be r1 in order to produce the best result? Will it always be random, as in, will there always be a chance of a yucky performance?

I would love to be able to play the piano and have it sound nice!

There's no trick to it. You'll just have to try a few times to get a proper play.
Tuners actually made a comeback when the piano came out.

You can't use buff skills with the piano.

You usually put a tuner in the beginning of a composition scroll. It helps you quickly determine whether or not your performance will be successful before the song actually starts playing. You can usually hear other people use them around town when they're trying to achieve a perfect performance. With incorrect performances, it sounds like musical gibberish, but once you use it and hear a clean, correct note(s), then you know you've got a perfect or near perfect performance.

and tuners are the things ppl put infront of compositions to make sure they played it right. like if you play it wrong then it sounds like do dododododododo so you know you jacked up[/SIZE][/FONT]
