They keep the skills of the old pet owo; Some people rebirth the giant bears into horses right after making them for the high ranked heal :>

Because you can RB it into a different pet and get new skills for it.

Different pets? something new to me because I have never tried it or heard of it. QQ
How does that work? Do you have to choose a pet that costs same as the old one?
What if you decide to stay on same pet and try to raise it's total lv or skill ranks?

I RB'd my useless black unicorn into my griffin. Now my griffin has firebolt.
It's not a nice way to level up pets, it's just a nice way to give pets skills (mostly magic) that they usually wouldn't have.

Exploration Imp > White Tiger > Borzoi
The imp will add 40 mana in addition to high ranked bolt skills. The tiger will bump most of it's stats to r5 and the Borzoi has hax transformation stats (plus I love them).
I might throw in a pet with windmill or something if I get bored along the way. The end results should be around level 70/80.

Windmill pets can't be RB'd into a new pet and use WM. That is because WM can only be used in their humanoid form.

This is why you actually read the details behind things like this before questioning it. Though I personally don't find much use out of rebirthing a pet since I almost never rely on a pet for battle (Or at least until Dragons / Those Tiger mounts release. I wouldn't mind fighting with those by my side).

I don't rb pets because I want the extra storage space.
Also I don't really care for extra skills because it's not -that- important.
And I just use pets for mounts or pet swipe and the occasional actual damage anyways.

Because rebirthing a Mini Bear into a Sheep and letting it Smash things is fun. Telekenesis for the win!
But it's mostly just for giving pets skills they don't have access to, so they can be more useful for you when you use them later.

Personally, I wouldn't rebirth pets because that just means you're losing out on inventory space and a pet to cycle through for pet revolver. The only time I would consider rebirthing pets is when I hit the character limit on my acc since pets don't deal that much dmg anyways.

Wouldn't bother to rebirth a pet until all your pet summon hotkeys are filled up.
Then, if you decide you don't need extra inventory space (which is never for me), it's easier to consider rebirthing a pet for skill ranks and some skill transfers.
Honestly though, having 9 lvl 75 White Tiger Mounts rebirth into 9 lvl 75 Thunder Dragons and slapping them onto your hotkey will pretty much make you a one-man army a whole lot easier.

While several skills are unusable when rebirthed, the stat bonuses carry over. (ie: An exploration imp with all magic shield skills at r6 carries 40 mana to a new pet).
